I was listening to Quran on Doggie Diamond tbe other night and he was right , Him and Da Youngstas are never mentioned when we mention Philly rappers

I think the Youngstas are well respected, but you got to keep in mind that they're in a different graduation class. The Youngstas put Philly on the map in the mid 90's. State Prop didn't come in until early 2000's. So, depending on who you ask, I think the Youngstas get their respect when it comes to Philly Hip Hop as a whole. I feel like they only mention Black Thought only because over the years The Roots as a group kept themselves relevant as one of the most influential Hip Hop groups that came out of Philly. Philly has a lot of dope emcees that came out in different eras so it all depends on who you ask.

Kriss Kross had JD, illegal had Erick Sermon, and Youngstas were aligned with Naughty By Nature. We're talking about 1992-1996. the golden Era of rap. If you ask anyone who was around at that time, I can almost guarantee Da Youngstas name will be in that conversation.
