I have been watching this channel all through lockdown and I haven't relaxed my hair in over two years. My hairdresser braids my hair every other month. When I got my hair down last month she used the dryer and combed it out and my hair now goes down to my bra strap. I haven't had hair this long in nearly 17 years. I was so happy. I may just stop using extensions soon when I braid it and just go with my own natural hair instead. Love it and felt so inspired by this channel as I learn how to better take care of my hair.
@tional972 жыл бұрын
You totally can just use your natural hair to do protective styles without extensions! A lot of people don’t realize that but I do it all the time, leave them in for about 3 weeks then commence wash day and do them over again and they really have helped my hair to grow. I definitely say try it! As long as you keep your hair and scalp moisturized while you do it, you should be good

Wish I had seen your post sooner. I used one similar to this and now have a neck burn that's healing 😭. I wish I had thought to wear a T-shirt or smock because it's so hot 🤦🏾♀️.

Hi DTH! I’m glad you’re doing better! Girl let me tell you and everybody else in the chat, when I had a relaxer, I used to put the flat iron in my hair just about everyday too, and I wasn’t in school at the time. I was a grown woman who has children! 😂😂 it’s bad when I think about it now. Now that I’m natural I don’t use the flat iron that much bc I want to maintain the health of my hair.

I still have my big barrel curling iron from high school too. I used it to bump my ends or my bangs.
