When I was little and upset or hurt my mother would embrace me in her arms and rock me and sing ahh ahh baby. It was soothing in spite of her being tone deaf and totally off key. This meditation is so good I want to live inside it. It’s better then those ahh babies. A nurturing person touches my face gently and speaks through soft lips close to my ear I’m safe. .what a beautiful rhapsodic image. Sanctuary indeed

Thank you for this calming, peaceful video. Thank you, Michelle. Wonderful work, here! ❤ I suffer from CPTSD and sleep deprivation due to nightmares and night terrors. This video is still the one I go to when all of my other therapeutic tools fail me in trying to relax to sleep. Thank you for always reminding me, “To take away something’s power over you, take away the one thing you give it: your attention.” This meditation always helps to remind me that I am now in a very safe state, even if I wasn’t waaaay back then when I suffered what I did. Thank you for helping me be grateful for the here and now, and helping my body to accept and release the pent up emotions that jostle around inside of my mind. ❤

I’m about ready to write of a day in 5th grade when I was publicly humiliated. I sure wish I had such overwhelmingly kind and soothing comfort to absorb back then, your meditative words, with elegant luxurious background chords. I would’ve replayed it for hours until I felt strong enough to leave wallowing in my childhood bedroom. I’ve completed the first 5-pages of my story concerning the first day of middle school. The terrible day, however, won’t arrive until October. It will be challenging to describe but these works you’ve published have provided a tremendous amount of inspiration to write until satisfied, Michelle. 🕊️💕 Thank-you.

Maybe by writing about that time you can start to heal. As I write the stories of days like that in my life I am learning how to heal and release the hurt, and how I can turn it into something positive by comforting others with the opposite of what I received at school and have been through since then. I wake up each day and choose to calm myself, to love and to care for myself and others I come into contact with... Sending you healing comfort and care. Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot

I can’t thank you enough for these meditations!! 🥰 The stories are wonderful but these are helping me so much more. I’ve had trauma that’s stripped me of feeling safe in this world. I sleep about 3-4 hrs a night & not usually straight through that. It’s miserable. BUT the last few days, I’ve listened to your meditations & fallen asleep faster & have slept longer (5 hrs so far). I feel like I’ve turned a corner & it will keep getting better. Your soft, comforting voice & talking throughout (vs others that come in & out & loud, waking me up). Just beautiful & it’s so generous of you to offer these for free no less! Thank you, thank you & thank you!! You’re an angel. 🤗💜

I was suddenly, without warning physically attacked today and have been in deep shock and distress all day, I have simply not experienced anything like this! My inner child was triggered into a sense of helplessness, although I was not left with any physical injuries. I had support (police, family and friends) and after several hours am calmer, but still feel dread in my core. I hope this meditation will help restore my equilibrium, after all my wonderful experiences in this channel, I believe it will. I'll report back. Best wishes everyone, dream away and sleep well, may we find restoration in our sleep and in our dreams. 🙏🏼

I truly hope that this helps-- I am so sorry that this happened to you. I know too well the repercussions that follow from such events and I'm glad you didn't have any injuries. But it definitely, at least in the moment and moments after, can shift our relationships with the world. The best thing is that you have support-- and I recall during one of the times I've been in your position that I read the support we receive after is the most vital in how we handle and overcome the trauma the episode causes. So be kind to yourself and proud that you are doing all that you can right now to tend to yourself. 💜

@@MichellesMeditationSanctuary Thanks Michelle! You often say, "think of me as a friend" and in fact, I do and you are one of the friends that supported me yesterday. The You are safe, meditation did help me get to sleep and gave me good things to consider. Also reading people's comments helped me feel less alone. In the night I woke and then listened to your latest story, the floating camp at sugar hollow to help get back to sleep - I hadn't got far into it on Sunday before falling asleep, so when the hip pain (that you also experienced) bothered me in the night as well as the upset of the day, I listened again and got further into the story this time. Even though it took longer to fall back asleep than it usually does, the story was lovely and made me feel happy and so lucky to have the amazing resource you provided and then I did fall asleep at some point. After the attack yesterday, I was not able to do any of the work I'd planned, and I felt shaky and unprepared for a workshop I facilitated today. However, it went amazingly! I was completely in flow and had wonderful participants. Thanks for contributing to me getting, if not a full night's sleep, still enough rest to not only function but get into flow and enjoy my session and be able this morning to identify good things in my life.

I am glad to say that after a few days I seemed to regain my equilibrium. I'm also having treatment for my hip/leg pain and doing more regular foam rolling again, which I'd neglected, and there's definite improvement. The person who attacked me apologised (it seems it was similar to a dementia episode of the person) and I chose to forgive him and not press charges, although there is a record of this at the police. Through this the message was sent to his family that behaviour like that is not acceptable and that there is protection for others, but also that forgiveness and peace are better ways in situations like this. I have peace about this decision.

I think I had an extra corporeal experience today. I started listening to this but in pieces because today was shopping day for food for our bomb shelter. I sit in car with dog while my better half does the shopping. As I was listening I noticed The beginning sounded like your other meditation. So I made a snarky comment about it’s a good beginning but was surprised you used it again. Truth is I think I was listening to your other meditation since you quoted Wagner. And truth is I have listened to it many times but only once all the way through so I didn’t remember much of the middle and end. Then I couldn’t find my comments so I’m not sure I even sent them so if I did my mistake in that you didn’t plagiarize yourself my homemade lobotomy must have worked. So as for this meditation : it’s very soothing. I will not hug myself though it just feels odd. I don’t feel safe I’m unsure I can protect others I care for but I like hearing you tell me I’m safe. In that moment I hold onto your words. I’ll stay awake for awhile longer on guard duty. You sleep

@larry I wish I could get your dog's review of this. Now, I could be mischievous and say this was your error, but in truth, I had to repost the video. I had corrupted files while editing and hadn't realized that the same audio for my last video ended up getting switched. At first I was so confused because while similar, I didn't think they were THAT similar. I'm sure most of us haven't felt safe many times in the course of the past two years. But we cannot stay in a constant state of trauma without consequences to our body. So you may not be ready for being "odd" but I have always taken oddness over feeling bad. It does wonders for the nervous system-- but perhaps a hug from the wife or a weighted blanket could also do wonders as well.
@larrymarcus31762 жыл бұрын
@@MichellesMeditationSanctuary Then I didn’t fall into a worm hole or hallucinate and my lobotomy was unnecessary? Oh well. I just saw this response now at almost 4 a.m on your birthday. I wrote three or four long tomes of blabbering bill poop that was really depressing and stream of god knows what consciousness like an old 70s book I read once. Hugs aren’t offered around here maybe I’m not huggable. So your beautiful tapestry of words and images suffice for hugs and images of a sweet pure world that I once believed do strongly in before ontological angst became a part of me. It reminds me of what was and what if. My dogs review was actually about me because she’s pathologically attached to me which is very complimentary and frightening at the same time. She must be with me always or she freaks out. She seems to like your voice but not as much as romantic classical music and food. And likes being my diva most of all. She came to us neglected and abandoned so we spoil her. Weighted blankets I would prefer if my dog would actually sleep on the couch with me but since she went blind she doesn’t like being elevated off ground which is why I’m on the sofa and she’s in one of her 5 beds. She used to sleep in bed with us but after going blind refuses the bedroom altogether. I don’t leave her alone or she freaks out. So we take her wherever she’s allowed to go. So I don’t get much sleep she wakes me up many times a night to go out or for water if she can’t find her bowl or for attention if she’s scared I’m not here. That’s who I’m up now at I think it’s 4 am and can’t get back to sleep yet. So I’ll listen to some more meditations while wqxr plays softly and I use my hand me down Microsoft blanket to wrap myself in and wait for slumber to let me go.

I'm looking for a certain sleep story I listened to about a year ago. I can't remember much of the detail because it put me at ease so fast. I just remember Michelle talking about walking up to a stereo I believe. She said to turn up bliss on the dial, and there was some other things she said to turn up and down. Any guesses on what story it maybe?

I think a follow up for this one might be about love and compassion. It isn’t easy for me to imagine how you’d accomplish such, subjects so personal in nature. However, I’ll bet you already have a framework in mind. Do you get most of your inspiration during moments after waking, like songwriters often do?

Interesting. Stick to what works for you. The idea is that your subconscious mind can absorb these messages even while you sleep. But if it keeps you up, follow what works for you. It works for many but nothing works for everyone.

We will just have to keep watching your videos then! I'm sure that we will all be keen to help you reach that target and exceed expectations! I know I won't have to force myself to watch the videos you create for this channel, I tend to gravitate towards your meditations and often take hours to fall asleep because of the chronic health challenges I face. My rescue cat ( Shadow the scaredy cat) has gotten used to the sound of your voice and visibly calms when I play your videos. He snuggles next to the phone that I play your videos on, prepares himself with a quick wash and then starts snoring within 5 minutes. At 6am almost every morning (when my mind and body are settled for sleep) he becomes my extra wheatbag or hot water bottle, curled against my sore hip or another sore spot. He seems to know when the pain, discomfort or tiredness are getting to me, appearing to become a playful kitten again, being silly, giving head bumps and purrs. We sleep the morning away. Blessings, Dot

Hold up....where did you come from on the KZbin sleep meditations?! Has my anxiety kept me under a rock? You are literally speaking to my soul, so much so I had to sit up and actually soak all of this in. Usually I don't listen to women for sleep meditations, reason unknown to why I would even have a preference of voice tones, but you're different. Thank you for transforming my energy, thank you for a slice of peace and a wave of serenity; thank you for being the first thing that showed up because you completely grounded me in the best way. Thank you for allowing me to let my guard down and rest my mind, body and soul. 💞

I don't like the focus on "you will experience things you never wish you had - it will pass." those places worry in me, not peace. "it may happen that you feel a difficult thing, and that it is too much - just let go etc". wtf? In a meditation I want to be reminded of peacefull things, positive things. When needing a meditation, one often have the stress already - and need a way to let it go with feeling peace and safety instead. Much is good though with the voice and meditation, but please don't mention the bad stuff. It's like telling a story, of people being horrible to you, elaborating all they did and said, then concluding with you survived it. Thats 10 mins of feeling worry, then letting go of it. Instead, "I feel peace today" "I feel good now". Anyhow. These will be good after that little tweak. :)
