8:21 there were two routes, you took the longer one that goes through the forest and avoids a place that has extremely bad roads and passes through two small cities/big towns. Most busses and civilian traffic use the other road to save fuel but the route you took is my favorite and I always take that route, i prefer good riding over saving fuel.
