Back in the 1980s, I did several road trips on my Yezdi ............... no GPS, no cellphone, only basic road maps and directions for the best route from drivers at Truck dhabas. 80 kmh was the best that the Yezdi could do. Biggest advantage was a spare tire fitted in front under the handle where they fitted a " leg guard " Carried some basic spares like plugs, bulbs, etc. Got stopped by the police all the time because my bike had a Punjab number and I am a Sikh.............. Punjab crisis was at its peak. Cops couldn't understand why I was travelling such long distances on a bike. Jullundur ........ Calcutta ......Bombay............ Jullundur Jullundur ........... Leh.........Manali............Jullundur Jullundur to Bombay and back. I also did Bombay and back on a 1956 Triumph 650 and on a Rajdoot Yamaha 350. Those bikes were a lot faster.

@@rahuldange185 Well, you can say that. Times were different then. Today , at age 62 I am an interstate trucker based in Los Angeles Ca. I drive a 45 ton trailer truck all over usa. In some states speed limits allow me to drive as fast as 85 mph......about 140 kmh. Now imagine the kick of driving that behemoth on 18 wheels at those speeds for hours at a stretch. Typically we do 600 miles ( roughly 1000 km ) in 10 hours

Most of the viewers are commenting on your video editing skills or that you uploaded the vlog after many days but they aren’t appreciating your efforts to ride non stop for 1500 KMS. Its not easy even by a car but you did it with your bike. I remember I had driven Mumbai to Bhuj non stop in a car and the next day it was irritating even to look at the car. Another surprising thing was the continuous energy and excitement which you had while recording this video. It didn’t seem a big thing for someone who is only watching it for 30 minutes but it was commendable that you maintained the energy and excitement for 27 long hours. My advice As a rider having clocked more than 100 K kms on long distance riding is start at 5 am till 6-7 pm rest for the night and continue. You will be able to ride at and avg of 75 kmph covering 1000 plus kms.. remember there is a family at home

I was looking for someone same in comment. I find traffic in our roads so unpredictable. You have to be on alert all the time. Driving increases the risk 10x. Poor visibility, drunk drivers, fatigued sleep ridden drivers and poor driving skills in general of mass public in Indian condition can lead you to be in accidents no matter you are at fault or not. And this is ignoring the conditions the road, there could be potholes, on going construction or any other man made obstacles. This is a reality for our roads. No matter how good of a driver you are accident can happen if other party is idiot. Your life is more important than any adventure, travel safe people. Avoid such late night drives.

Bahut mast aur shandar exp bataya aapne. Sahi kaha aapne zindagi main intzaar na kare ki time milega apne shauk ko pura karne ke liye. I have driven Mumbai to Indore 740 kms in 16 hours on Dominar 400 2022 solo. I took as many breaks I wanted to keep myself hydrated and piss stops. There is no trophy to reach early and drive non stop. You are risking your life as well as others on road. Take care and enjoy riding.

This is awesome. Be safe bhai. Reminds me of my solo drive in June this year from Mumbai to kargil army base via Manali and return via Kashmir. On way back was the longest route and stretch , I did Banhihal in Kashmir to ajmer in Rajasthan in 30.5 hours with a landslide at Ramban. Drove through Punjab and Haryana in the night in heavy rain. Out of 17 police check post only one was manned. Had waterish type of chai there and continued to Mumbai. Other long stretches were, mumbai to Jaipur on the way going - 26 hours. Jaipur to manali - 20 hrs and Return journey was Kashmir to Rajasthan in 30.5 hrs and then Ajmer to Mumbai in - 21 hrs. In places like leh I had to make my radio on high and had only static to keep me awake. No coverage and I had forgotten my music pen drive. Oxygen level was 62%. Dash cam and action cam footage is here on this channel too. Vehicle was a 2006 Tata safari dicor 3 litre vx. After 7500kms on has terrain...didn't even have to top off the coolant in the safari. Only cost of travel for safari was diesel .

Great going brother! Safe travels! Drove 700kms in 23 hours in my thunderbird 350x from Kottayam in Kerala to Bangalore. I was travelling in the route by myself in bike for the first time and it rained consistently for around 10-12 hours. It was one of the biggest learning experiences in my life. Later on in my life i completed the same distance in 11.5 hours.

That was one hell of a journey. When I saw your north east trip where you transported bike via train I was like meh, just another rider who only cares about destination and not journey. Seeing you doing this today I am amazed by your perspective towards riding, that's what a true rider is. I call these types of ride as endurance rides as only the toughest people attempt to do it. I did 948km in approx 14 hrs on 390 adv on 18Nov22. Back pain is not for all people... I was absolutely perfect...not sleepy... But generally feels fatigue.

@@yogeshavl no one will feel sleepy for a 14 hr ride bro.. because it’s our normal awake time per day. Try a 24 hr ride which will cross your normal sleep time or a 2D1N ride with barely 4 hrs of sleep. Then you’ll feel something. And I didn’t say back pain.. I said body pains in general because of the static posture that we’ll be in for a very long duration which the body isn’t used to.

During that ride we also took a power nap of 2-3hrs near Lucknow. And that bullet vibrations are another thing to deal with it for more than 24hrs continously

Well done on the awesome ride .. it was a real test of endurance.. always satisfying.. u should have done “ Iron butt challenge “ with this ride .. where u ride 1000 miles that’s 1610 kms in 24 hrs .. it’s a big mile stone in motorcycling world .. 1400 kms with short brakes definitely a big challenge. My friend rode his Dominar from Delhi to Goa in 2 days alone in 2018. Love watching these videos from abroad. Just imagining the scenes and joy through the lenses of your GoPro 😄 Haven’t been on a long ride. It’s been a dream and this July, when I come to India for my vacation, planning to ride from Goa to Bangalore as a trial/test ride and also to get RE Electra 350 touring accessories, my remaining safety gear for my dream ride to Ladakh, where my friend from Delhi might join me. Planning this for December. My questions to anyone who reads and can advise me :) 1- I have a dholki silencer. Will that be a big problem as I hear that cops are very strict with it. Or Rs. 200-300 mean jayenge? Earlier had indori but that is fully rusted and I believe Indori sounds too loud compared to Dholki, like fire crackers. Dholki has soft bass kind of sound. Hope I am describing them correctly and not vice versa :) Anyway, both are after market silencers. Are they going to give me a challan at every stop? I know it depends from policeman to policeman, place to place. But still asking.. My Goan cops just wait on the roads to extract money from tourists. I might face the karma out of Goa. hahaha.... 2- My rear brake is a drum brake. I think disc brakes are more better to have on long rides? Works better than the drum brakes? Can disc brake be fitted on my Electra without causing any issues to the bike? Thank you.
