@@brinkoo7 I found it exciting and useful until I tried to use it and landed back in reality. As far as I can tell, it doesn't really work, or accomplish anything new or better. Anthropic still the only thing that even partially works.

@@benjamenharper i agree.. anthropic claude 3.5 is still the winner hands down! that is my goto. The biggest problem i see with all other models is the tool calling, they seem to get easily lost or confused. furthermore most of the time i don''t care to read the chain of thought... do it in the background and don't bother sending it over the wire to me lol.

This is an interesting model - especially with access to LLMs and memory. I have a few questions: 1. A lot of your ideas are also useful to writing novels. Could I upload some prompts and save in memory and then open up chapters which windsurf would instruct to the LLMs for feedback? Would it be able to post text instead of code? 2. I know Windsurf can run in VS Code. Do you have any suggestions for running with other tools like RooCode, OpenOperator, Make, or others? Any brainstorming on usages?

Cline does this for free. Deepseek API costs, but is extremely cheap. If you desperately want to pay for no reason at all, Cursor is the way to go. None of it is INSANE, but still helpful. There, fixed the script.

I have just tested it with an existing project and it was a disaster. You can see what it ‘thinks’ but it can't manage to edit data reliably. And suddenly it tried to tell me that it is not able to edit files and that I am wrong and that it has never been able to do so. Only after 3 times back and forth did he think, oh yes wait, maybe I'm wrong.
