Man o man! Hate that siren sound! Stay safe everyone! Our daughter lives near Memphis and close to the town siren which is tested every week. We are in California and get about 4 seconds on our phone for an earthquake warning that demands you “Drop, Cover and Hold on”! Then our son in Pacifica got his first ever tornado watch on his weather app just a few days after the tsunami warning! And then there are the fire alerts for those in more susceptible areas…. What a load Mother Nature likes to throw at us (pretty sure it’s payback for our human behavior over the years)

I live in Florida and we took a direct hit from hurricane Ian and Milton and the placemats on our lanai didn’t move an inch even with constant 100+ mph winds along with strong gusts it’s crazy how things happen like this 🤷‍♀️ Mother Nature is a beast!!

So glad you're all okay! We got our first tornado warning alert at 12:58 a.m., and the final one at 5:43 a.m. The rain and wind woke me up around 4:30 a.m. So scary. Marianna, FL is close enough to where you are that we get many of the same weather patterns and storms. We're all safe here, too. God has His hand on us.

As a former Northerner, I miss the full-size basements we had. Great for hiding out during major storms. Here in the south, with only a crawl space, we can only hide out in the middle of our homes, not near windows or outer walls. So glad you and the kitty krew are safe. Had quite a night in WCentral GA .weather radio kept going off starting at 2AM. Luckily had no damage, just a lot of wind and rain.Outside cats huddled in their bunker but all ok. Glad you made it through.Praise God for his protection.

I have a busted eardrum and have not been able to hear thunder and raindrops in months, even with a hearing aid. So I plugged earbuds in the phone and heard those raindrops and thunder. The sound was wonderful. I'm glad you're safe, Mr. Tom. I will be listening to this video often. Thank you.

Mr Tom.... I have always lived in the northeast And I can't imagine what all of The tornado situation was about. For most of my life I was in Buffalo New York I could tell you many stories about lake effect snow. Now I am in south east Connecticut and can tell you about nor easters. Not true. Ferals can be socialized. I know because I spent a couple of years working with colonies in a swamp. They are amazing. They will come in if they choose to do so. They must trust and I am not saying whether they should or should not do so since every situation is different. The ones I worked with were losing their habitat. ❤ Prayers for all.

We had the same storms in Louisiana. One tornado passed over my house, luckily it did not touch down. I was so scared being alone with three dogs. But, God kept us safe. I’ve already lost part of my roof once this year, in the spring.

California girl born and raised here in the San Francisco bay area (Alameda) on an island lol but my Mom was from Oklahoma in the NE part,Westville, I spent the first 15 years of my life back there for most of the summertime and the rest of the year here. Back then we were fearless! 😂 hell when the tornado siren went off we would go look for it lol except my Dad,he was chicken 😂 but now at 62? I don't like storms like this. I went to Walmart and bought large totes with lids.My husband made openings in the ends with flaps and put straw inside.The feral cats have been sleeping and staying in them.Its been snowing raining and cold in the teens.They are surviving in the bad weather in these cheep totes.

I live a couple miles outside Athens, Al. We had an EF-1 stroll through the middle of town and I didn't hear the sirens at all. Not sure if they didn't sound, but can normally hear them. Didn't realize a tornado had even touched down until pics started coming in on social media.
