You're making great progress !!! I live in the suburbs, but had the great blessing of growing up on a farm. I have a small yard, but grow container gardens. You are giving me the incentive to buy a mini greenhouse. My mother, a lifetime farm girl, can no longer live by herself, so she's moved in with us. She has a wealth of knowledge on how to grow food, so she can direct/ educate us 😎😉🤗

Always listen to your elders. She may know what you can eat that's growing in your yard. I just cut some thistle plants down out of the yard and fried up the core after stripping off the outer layer and it tasted like eggplant. I also love to fix poke weed. It's more nutritious than the regular greens we grow. Lamb quarter plant is another good one. Enjoy your mother while you have her. If she needs help, home healthcare is a great resource. ;-)

My mama had such a green thumb. I tell folks that my mom could plant a popsicle stick and grow a popsicle tree. She loved what you call like weed; we call it Polk salad here in Southeast Tennessee. I have seen my mom on a ladder picking pole beans out of a nearby Maple tree. The newspaper came to our house and did a story on her and her garden. I miss my mom. Enjoy your mother and give her all the love and respect you can and most of all listen to her and learn all you can.

Good evening Danny and Wanda, I have a question about connecting the plastic over the high tunnel to the ends. You already have wiggle wire in the tracks for the plastic on the ends. When you get ready to secure the top plastic, do you remove the wiggle wire that is in the track and add the top plastic? So you would have 2 pieces of plastic and a wiggle wire in the track. If this is the correct way to do it, was it difficult to keep the end plastic tight? I hope this was understandable. Thanks for your help. Pamela Graham Forrest Edge Farm

I know this is a few years old, but we ar building ours now. At 4:08 you are installing the wiggle wire above the door. My question is about the ends of the track on the top left and right of the door. Have you seen any wear in the plastic at these points where they rub against the ends of the track? We were wondering about duct taping those ends to avoid a rip. Thanks

That's quite a showpiece! You're the Boss!! I'm waiting for a warm day to install my plastic over the frame. Would mid 60's be warm enough or wait for mid 70's? I've heard the material is easier to stretch and work with that way. You can keep that humidity!
