No, Chaser is in a time loop. Due to his corpse being within the second floor, when the time collapse occurs, he gets sent back up, WITH the knowledge of your last encounter, evident in "Time truly does run amok when drawn into Ethiron's Wake. To have memories of a previous encounter, yet to be standing here now: Furthermore, this is supported by Chaser's question of "After we met in your time, did you make it to the-", which clearly indicates that he is aware he lost previously, curious to see whether the player, after winning, made it to the second floor (Yes, I'm also a lore stan).

It’s a time loop, klaris says there’s been “reports of time dilation but nothing like this”, meaning that usually when you go into layer 2 time dilation occurs, but once you get close enough to ethiron it’s getting dragged around enough it stops dilating and instead is stuck in a permanent loop

I feel like rogue lineage is ancient times to the modern people of deepwoken, like how we view the ancient egyptians or even further back. Rogue seems more primitive, it's like if the world was experiencing raw magic for the first time. And isn't it confirmed that deep and rogue take place in the same reality/universe, and "the source" being the true source of all magic abilities? Maybe the song is just the way the world of deepwoken has chosen to channel the source.

Kaide, the Drowned Light mentions that the Song is actually a birthright of the Drowned Gods, and the way that we humans use it are (usually) an imitation of that. It seems like the Tides weren't a backlash from abusing magic, but rather the "first attack" of the Depths, an attempt to absorb Lumen. The Canticlysm was either the preparation period, or the time before the Depths fully arrived. It's highly probable that excessive use of the Song, which supposedly originates from the Depths, could have helped call it to Lumen faster, but it's not a "punishment" or anything. There's also the talent card "The Sound from Below", which talks of the sound (the Song) that comes from beneath the waves (the Depths). Scyphozia is likely incomplete due to Lumen not yet having been fully assimilated. That means there probably isn't a Drowned God ruling over Scyphozia just yet, which explains the lack of a "final boss" of the first layer. If we assume that all layers happened the same way Layer 2 happened, then it's not that the Drowned Gods were put to sleep, but that they were never awake in the first place.

I feel completely the same way as of recent about Bloodrend in all honesty, if Sow and Mend was a mutual exclusive with reinforce, along with a new defensive type move added as a support mantra that could absolutely help with the diversity of Blood builds overall. (Since most just feel like the same copy and paste mantras and talents, part of this may be due to the lack of additions because of Blood being very recent.) Anyway, glory to Flamecharm and Reaconteur!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like they had a really good start with making the obtainment to get the attunement with the addition of Vyrelda- the second student, however, I feel like they felt pressured by the community complaining about the lack of content being pushed out (outside of leg weapons) and eventually just derailed feeling rushed and shoved out some out-of-lore stuff to meet deadlines. If the devs listened to the community but took their time instead of feeling pressured by the greedy community I believe the game would actually turn out rich in content.

Imagine for ultra end game you have to beat all bosses, go to northen luninate, accend, pay 500 echos, grip 10 players, all for a 5~15 attribute max increase for all slots. And you get a special colored name like W-rank but just more useful. Like imagine accending the concept of wiping (you can still wipe, I give no fuck cry about it) and you gain power 21- 22 or like the ability to get even higher echo upgrades

Actually to add onto that; an echo upgrade to always include folds in every hand even mantra hands for like 50 echos. Or starting talent hands that increase the usual amount of card cap for 100 echos for a total of 300 echos. This shit would go fire as it provides incentive to play the game more than just once to actually make your next of kin somewhat stronger than just stupid stuff like "spawn with a glider but better" and "repair hammer"
