Rogue lineage doesn't need ultra classes to win, just send an Ashin freshie and he will solo half the Deepwoken verse. Back in the day, I did 1s with my guild leader who was an uber-spy and I almost bodied him as an Ashin freshie after getting my Oni wiped to gank a day prior

In a Deep freshie vs Rogue freshie 1v1, the Rogue freshie would lose unless it has a dagger, as Deepwoken swing speeds are universally way slower than Rogue's, and therefore even if the Deepwoken freshie parried all the hits it could, no amount of frame advantage will give it enough time to land 1 swing

Well, there's also the issue that insanity can't outright kill in Deepwoken, and the fact that there are sanity restoring talents and abilities. Saltchemist could straight up outregen the insanity. Deepwoken characters also deal a fuck ton of damage. Like on the higher end it takes maybe three m1s to kill a rogue lineage character. As for running, there's bs like gravity field and corrupted gravity field, the auto tracking mantras would straight up obliterate their HP in thirds. Then there's Deepwoken's own version of mage builds which will actually just put rogue lineage characters in infinite ragdoll/stun and deplete their HP instantly.

You have to search YEARS for a good server, there's always some undercover guild observing your every move waiting for you to reach day 1 for their 200th necromancer, literally nobody you can hunt solo, or servers with a few too many gaia dwellers. I'm at the point where I have to boost myself because regular progression is impossible. Khei is just a different type of hell I didn't wanna mention it. I kind of like the simplicity of defense, however you're right its quite weak, but the main issue are the combos not the defense - they should get counterplay through nerfs. Except from macros, pvp in gaia is pretty fun.

u can permanently hold F against a gorpig and they cant kill you, the only move that guard breaks is their jump slam, which can be perfect blocked, and hardly does much damage. The oni boss (assuming its big hosses shadow) has the hp of a howler which is 2 1/2 rising dragons to kill. im a rogue glazer but a gorpig is not strong

no not at all, what the corrupt mage uses isn’t an equivalent to the song, mana is a supernatural force that buffs the users physical capabilities (which is why we can mana run, climb, dash and such) and allows for unnatural displays of power (using spells and godspells), meanwhile the song is imbued within the user and is a collective reservoir of power and “magic” connected to everyone, even Primadon contains part of the song within him, and so do Sharkos, which is why they can both utilize the Ardour scream. Tranquil circle shuts down usage of the song for the user and anyone else affected, but only through the conductor of the usage of tranquil circle, meaning tranquil circle itself won’t shut down, similarly to how a heroblade doesn’t affect the user (flame hero blade doesn’t burn you, frost doesn’t freeze or spawn crystals on you, gale doesn’t suffocate or cut you, thunder doesn’t shock you, and neither does shadow constantly steal your ether like enma). I think rogue has a upper hand in combat against deep characters, NOT A SINGLE Trackstar would catch up to any rogue class with spider cloak and snap geli, or imagine monster hunter, what are deepwoken characters supposed to do against a guy that is Litteraly flying spawning in a whole army, And also I think it’s incorrect to use the hp numbers from both games, like 500 hp deepwoken char vs ≈200hp rogue class, both chars at their prime should have same hp basically ≈150 hp from rogue converts into 500hp in deep

Demon step is just a more annoying to use version of the deepwoken dodge system meaning deepwoken s just take out 90% of rogue classes especially with things like dark rift and risky moves, abyss walker is believe it or not the dark horse in this race. The awkward timings and effective hyperarmor would trip up most parry reflexes and the m2 being very fast and canonically unparryable (can't be pblocked) means it's getting a lot of guard breaks, take into effect that abysswalker has curse stacks which massively amplify their attacks to the point of negating deepwokens massive health pools and resistances (spammable ardourscream that can stack basically) and deep characters can't effectively regenerate while rogue characters even with no hunger can, it makes for a dangerous situation since deepwoken players can be hit DURING RAGDOLL and ragdoll cancel has a cool down and actually works to the abysswalkers benefit saving them the chase, this becomes a very scary fight for deepwoken
