Rogue lineage(2019) is a prequel to Tales from the valley(2017), despite being made after it. TFTV was one of the few games that started Archmage’s career as a developer, and also a prominent game in the CC/pvp-based hardcore genre, due to TFTV being one of the first games like that. After seeing how well TFTV went, archmage banded together with other well-known roblox developers to create what is now known as monad studios, which steadily grew as they developed rogue lineage, which was one of the most hyped games of its time. Like hundreds of people literally waited in an empty “countdown server” with just a table in it. Roblox usually has golden ages every half decade or so, and rogue lineage definitely was one of the pioneers that brought about one of those golden ages. Anyways, rogue lineage initially takes place in Gaia; a dimension far away from the source, which is why everyone doesn’t have mana, and can use tomeless spells. In later updates, they introduced the Khei update around 2020, which takes place in the same world of khei as TFTV, but in the past; which solidified the fact that it was a prequel because the races from rogue lineage evolved into the ones that was already in TFTV after leaving Gaia to ascend into khei; a place closer to the source. I have been invested in archmage’s games since like 2016 and I know that he’s definitely the spearhead of monad studios despite not rlly being involved in the community due to the fact that even deepwoken carries his signature “style” that all popular roblox devs have of their own, despite there being other top-level developers in monad. When they felt like rogue was reaching its peak, and roblox needed a better game, they decided to move on from the whole TFTV game franchise, and create a new one: deepwoken. Deepwoken is completely unrelated to khei and Gaia, and has an entirely different lore and power system entirely. IMO deepwoken is more Lore-Rich, but the TFTV/Rogue lineage franchise has better lore that’s all over the place, but surprisingly rlly good and carries a nostalgia that you just can’t beat. Also, deepwoken was incredibly hyped up, even more-so than rogue lineage, rell seas, and King of Pirates(which was a major flop btw)

the worst affront to lore is archmage introducing a faction of monster hunters in multiple item descriptions, then never doing anything with it, seriously you could easily use the monster hunters for a ton of fun pve contents, like a world serpent siege fight, or a kaido siege fight, or hell, a pve rework to make it not boring and making monsters actually threatening, we see alot of npcs scared by just a sharko, make us feel that way, make fighting monsters a genuine investment and a dangerous decision. This is pretty much why i stopped playing deepwoken, they just stopped giving a shit about pve when deepwoken was originally supposed to be mostly pve and lore based but then they decided to never do anything with ideas they introduc in item descriptions, monster hunters probably aren't a one off.

I have a lore idea to why antiquarians have infinite notes when you're selling things, especially the one in your guildbase Antiquarians similar to the barbers have their own oath that is just a glorified job and the antiquarians are able to create notes using their ether in exchange for items, maybe they deconstruct the items sold to get more ether reserves and thus generate more notes or they physically turn the items into notes themselves, oath could be called "Notewriter"

Hear me out, maybe the nations are lacking in manpower because the world as of now is literally a few mountainous islands and a giant tree, can't really see a lot of agriculture in that environment, nor trade with other luminants, so there might genuinely not be enough food to sustain an economy at the scale of the ones present in factions such as Etrea, the Authority or the Divers, specially the divers with their 90% mortality rate and underwater environment with barely any sunlight to grow crops, no wonder foods such as cheese cost so much! The high food prices are probably responsible for nobles and land-owners existing with so much power while there are literal mechs running around, you can't really leave your only job to run to the ignition union with barely any education or money to actually buy food, I doubt the average etrean would be able to buy a ride to the ignition union or the hive, now talking about the hive, living in a tree looks like a good situation in this scenario, but how will you grow food when your whole civilization lives on a tree right next to an arid desert and a forest that for some reason wasn't turned into farmland as of now, sure some fruits would grow, but unless you can eat leafs and consume wood your species would probably just start starving out as the population continued to grow, I'll be honest, the best faction economically is the summer company, they have a fertile, mineral rich island and high technology to make use of their natural resources, aswell as buying power and influence to acquire all resources they lack. Also, has anyone noticed how living anywhere outside the main factions would straight up be a death sentence? In the wild, there are things like megalodaunts, terrapods, brutes, deep owls, among others, how are you supposed to take the small amount of land leftover when these things are running around?

Well, the summer company would be better off if they didn't take their island and turn it into a massive fortress, they could atleast try to take the songseeker islands as a colony of some sort with all of their military strength, but that would ruin progression, so I see why that is the case.

Just imagine if there was a faction with an actual numerous army, all that we have seen in game is the guards and the few events that happen in the various islands, but think about it, if a faction had the numbers of, let's say, the medieval Netherlands, I doubt the factions would stand a chance, they are so short on manpower that they are using their POLICE FORCE for incursions into lower erisia, and apparently in naval raids against the authority too, either that or their army is also their police force, which probably isn't that much better, send around 10.000 men to etris armed with spears and without a doubt the regent would be gone, not quickly of course but he can't destroy that many men before getting tired and falling over from dehydration or exhaustion.

OMG imagine dying in the void sea wipes you or we just keep the drownings of going to the depths but once you or someone dies there It'll spawn a dread serpent itd be cool if the chances scale off power where a power 1 might have a lower chance and a power 20 might woould have the highest and anything on them Legendary weapons bell ardor etc would cause the serpent to "Corrupt" giving it a kind of RNG to wether itll be weaker or stronger than the natural spawn NPC version i think this would be a cool addition to the void sea expansion agamatsu talked about a while ago
