Our camp is in Schoolcraft county. Came across 5 sets of wolf tracks hunting the road one morning last season.

Unfortunately Lower Michigan went to a no baiting law so we all had to start planting food plots to be able to see deer. it's a learning curve but we're definitely still seeing deer just not as crazy as when we were baiting

Be a rebel and snuff the wolves ! Never mind the wolf huggers . Besides , there ain't a wolf hugger behind every tree nor under every rock . Better yet shoot the bastards (wolves ) in the guts and they'll run off eventually to expire far from your position...don't cower to the tyrants that are hell bent on destroying the time honored tradition of hunting for food !!!!!

I definitely think the wolves are a issue to our deer hunting, sat for a week 10ish hours a day and saw 4 deer all week

Great set up . Love the idea of the old tent rods for a shooting rest! What do you use for bait ?

@@CharleyThePlumber : My hunting camp is in central Ontario Canada , we are allowed to bait here as well, so we use apples and shell corn sometimes corn mixed with molasses . I've had some great results with cutting the apples in half and jamming them onto branches of trees in the bait area, gets the scent up. Watched a deer walk straight into the bait area with its nose in the air . I've been rolling the idea over in my mind to build a platform much like your 5 sided blind video, but for a pop up . Give a little better sight line, ever thought of trying that ?

@@Timr45_70 when we hunt in lower Michigan, all of our blinds are elevated on platforms. as far as the baiting goes. we now in the lower and parts of the Upper of Michigan we have a baiting ban on. because of a CWD scare so there is no baiting but i have done the rub the apple on the tree trick before, i also had a viewer suggest corn with vanilla extract on it. thanks for watching

Man oh man i like that blind setup. I'm going to place some tent poles for my boy to use in mine. Im in Tx so rarely need a heater but i love the hot lunch ability of that heater. As far as bait, what was that you were using and can you use corn? Lots of corn down here and i like to cover it with vanilla extract. I see tons of deer that way. Anyway, love the vid and best of luck to ya

Kirby Wiseman yes corn, a few apples and carrots, I have never heard of the vanilla thing but I am intrigued, is that like a sweet feed you feed horses? If you have any extra giant bucks or hell even does that need shot let me know lol

Nice. What do you use for a chair? Some I've found sit you up too high. Just wondering. Thanks for the vid!

Sorry bud I missed your comment, I lately been using a 4 legged swivel chair that is packable and usually I just dig the legs down some as I agree they sit to darn high, but this year the frost was in the ground so I had a stiff neck all week but to be truthful I like the lawn chair with the table on the side the best as that is where I sit my binocs

I like the blind set up! We have similar setups, you gave me some ideas tho. I agree that you can eat in your blind (we do), it helps to be adequately distanced from your assumed shooting area that is.

Snuff those wolves before you lose your hunting opportunities ! There's too many antis and wolf huggers in the fish and game departments ; they want hunters to abandon our time honored tradition and eat tofu and salad ... Let the hunters not the wolves manage the deer herd ! I See a wolf ...snuff it !!
