I got a home made recipe the deer here in nc and sc love maybe you should try it put trail cam on it see if it brings yall as good as luck as me . This recipe makes 7 to 8 sandwich bags half full enjoy to put in the spot each month . U will need 4 box's of baking soda, 2 box's 1 pound each of raw sugar white sugar , 2 bags of brown sugar 1 to 2 pound bags you will also need 4 great value or cheap 1 pound things of salt and 1 bag of epsphin salt , 1 pack of jello mix your choice of flavor i like cherry and last but not least a pack of hemp seed powder mix together then bag . To apply the mix dig a hole 12 inches wide 5 inches deep in a circle then pour 3/4 of the bag in it fill with dirt mix up then pour the rest on top. I also have a way to make home made throw and grow . Go to the local dollar tree and buy 4 packs of garden peas , 4 packs of mix greens , 4 packs of lettuce and then go to the hardware store get rye grass or any other cheap grass seed . Mix all together then find a spot in the woods rake all the ground matter back 24 feet by 14 feet then spread in a rectangle 24 feet by 14 feet then cover up lightly with leaves not to thick just enough to keep the birds and stuff from eating them all . Not only dose it work just as good if not better then the throw and grow but also gives you more bang and variety for ya buck works great . Hope this helps some ones been doing this for 15 plus years and tag out every year before seasons over . I my self hunt for meat then hunt and give meat to needy families as well as few older people who not able to hunt due to health issues.

james helms Thanks so much for the comment, right now the ground is too froze to dig but when the ground thaws out I think I might give it a try. I also really like the sound of the homemade throw and grow. I have never planted a food plot, I think I might try that In the spring

jay blue thanks in Pennsylvania archery starts in early October so I’m putting out feed now and will have to take it away before hunting starts

@@jakedeal6508 oh.i guess you guys cant hunt over bait??? They let us hunt over bait here but not after december.we have a long bow season.sept 28th -feb 28th.i absolutly love it.im going to take the first fat doe that comes into bow range.im ready for some fresh deer meat!!!

jay blue I think it’s fair for the deer to take away the bait before hunting season. Pennsylvania archery is 6 weeks long. Then there is rifle for 2 weeks. And then there is a a 2-3 week winter archery/ muzzleloader but people usually don’t go out to much cause of the cold. Being 15 feet up in a tree stand and freezing hahaha. I’m trying to get some stands up and checking trail cams every so often.

This is to cool. I have been wanting to try this out at some of the national refuges around where I live. The "Yet Another Cabin Video" guy does the same thing and he filmed a bear attacking his camera. Pretty wild.
