As a farmer in Kentucky I can say our corn and soybeans are nowhere near that bad when it comes to Deer. But I totally agree that Deer are a massive problem. Thank you for sharing your experience with Deer and showing the public what really happens and why! Great video, hopefully it makes a difference.

Thank you for showing this, we have the same problem, have resorted to planting corn on corn in many places, it’s ridiculous that the weekend warriors have let these deer get out of control.

I feel your pain. Same situation on the deer down in nc. Farms we own we hunt like crazy. Farms we rent landowners like to see the deer and ask why have you put my farm in continuous corn. It’s ridiculous. Good luck my friend.

Deprivation permits are the only thing that keeps our farms from getting eaten to death in NC, most farmers kill200-800 deer per year. Some kill a lot more than that a year

Here in northwest Tennessee, our wardens are lax on the deer killing they give nuisance permits to just about everyone that applies

I appreciate you showing this. It’s the same here in nc. Can’t grow corn for wild hogs so it’s a double whammy on us. If you don’t have hogs you can grow milo if you have a market for it. Deer don’t seem to bother it too bad but you’ve got to get it out early as you can or they will. Lowering the herd with a gun is bout like catching all the brim in a lake with a cane pole, it ain’t gonna happen. I have the same conversation with people and hunters as you did. If something’s eating on their income they’d cut up. Hope you get some rain. Great video!

Triple R farms down there in Alabama here on KZbin. I recall them spraying their fields with something to keep the deer and pigs off of them. That worked really good. They had a huge problem with animals eating up all their crop. You can probably contact them or watch the video to find out what it was that they put in their sprayer and put on their crops.

We have the same problem in KY. I have hot wires around my garden 40 feet from the house, but it is not practical to hot wire crops. They say plant corn, but that does not work for crop rotation plus they are eating corn now also. Our natural resource guys have got to do something or food prices will rally get high.

I live in Kentucky also and the landowners that don't farm necessarily but own acreage created this deer problem. They all started leasing out the hunting rights to about killing a doe. So slowly but surely the deer population has gotten out of control. Also fish and wildlife didn't help with their stupid laws they had years ago when you could only shoot one doe and one buck a year but you couldn't shoot the does but on certain days so people just wouldn't shoot the does but by the time they changed the laws to where you could shoot all the does you want it was to late

Irish spring soap mixed in with the first spray trip has helped us. It will not stop them completely but it has helped a lot.

We don't have that problem here in southeast Missouri but I'm surprised there isn't something you could spray on there with the sprayer to at least deter the deer if not they should really look into that I think

We have tried everything in a jug and it doesn’t work. We are dealing with a over population of deer.

We plant sorghum Sudan around the fields with heavy deer pressure here in Michigan seems to help they don’t like it

You do know there is a spray out there now that will help deter the deer, right? I know that Daniel on Triple R Farms here on KZbin talks highly of it how good it has worked for him here in Alabama!

We have tried it and it’s a waste of money. We are dealing with a high population of deer.

I know what I'm about to say may sound crazy but that's how things begin lol I'm imagining Fields that have heavy deer pressure, the farmer being able to set up a mobile or multiple mobile towers that would have cameras that could detect the deer then activate a drone that would speed to them and make a load horn sound with lights, whatever to run them off. Then return back to the tower where it would land back in a specific location that would automatically recharge the drone, The system could be solar powered mobile station. Yes it would have it issues , nothing is ever perfect, but it could save thousands of dollars of product.

We are in the same situation here in NC. The deer just completely wipe out fields. I’ve tried different sprays over the years and nothing works very long. We have gone to corn on corn and we keep adding fields every year like that cause we keep losing money on everything else. Plus we’re in the worst drought we have seen in years and nothings growing so deer keepin it mowed down.
