Great stalk matt, congrats on the deer! How would you suggest i bring up deer managment to my camp? I've been asking for years for my camp to at least have an age limit, but i always get the same old "if we dont kill it xyz camp will!" bs.
@GrowingDeerTV8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The hunt was a blast. It's important that the camp realize that someone needs to step up. Provide others with the example of what letting bucks walk will do. Lead by example and other will follow suit. Yes it's true you may loose young deer each year to neighbors, but giving them a chance is better than not letting them do so. Dead deer don't grow! You may wish to start a co-op as well. Invite the other camps to yours. Sit down over a meal and discuss your camps goals and objectives. Who knows, they might be having the same thoughts as you right now. See if you can get a local biologist to come and speak on your behalf, perhaps sharing some stats on the matter from a credible outside source will help get others on board. -Matt

Hey I’ve always wondered how do they shoot so many deer in one season
@GrowingDeerTV7 жыл бұрын
We have worked hard to increase the quality and quantity of the deer herd in our area. This has been done with intensive habitat management. We try really hard to hunt only days that we can enter, hunt, and exit without alerting deer. These hunting and management practices have helped our hunting opportunities! -Daniel

@GrowingDeerTV8 жыл бұрын
Sorry Ben, we reserve our Proving Grounds property for our team. With our team, we'll be able to meet our harvest objectives. Hope you can find somewhere near you to hunt. If you're looking for a hunting mentor, ask your parents to talk to their friends and find someone your family trusts to take you hunting. A trusted and experienced friend or relative is a good choice. Some public lands get hunted very lightly in south west Missouri if you are close to Cassville or that area.
