Awesome collaboration. Two great shows, great guys whose styles for hunting the same species are at different ends of the spectrum. I get irritated with self righteous people putting down any style of hunting because its not their own style or they think it's easier or more cruel, or whatever. Love it here in Tennessee. I thought it was funny hearing y’all talk about shooting 1,000 deer and 2 bucks. It used to be 3 bucks a few years back. A few things... I enjoy THP and Seek One however for them to come to a state that’s not their own and kill 1-2 year old deer and make it seem like it’s the best thing ever is frustrating, especially in my state of TN, in specific where this video is made. I’ve hunted this public land my whole life and passed on the same deer they shot. Seems disrespectful to make it seem like you can roll up to any state with zero regard for what the locals strive for and kill anything that is walking. I’m all about hunting and the chase but to watch this video unfold was very frustrating as someone that works so hard to keep the little that we have here in middle TN a viable option to hunt. What this video made it seem like is that there 1,000s of acres of land to hunt, there’s not here in middle TN. There’s little land up and down the river as they so willingly let the world know. All this video did is exactly what THP did for turkey hunting in KY. People are going to flock here come hunting season and because they have a tag burning a hole in their pocket will shoot these young bucks. Such a waste of a resource and unfortunate to see. I’m TWRA had some say so on this and where and how to hunt, which again is frustrating. TWRA focuses on profitability with them not being a state ran agency. How to generate license sales is the name of the game and you all helped with that effort. Respectfully, An annoyed hunter
@TheHuntingPublic3 жыл бұрын
Sorry you feel that way but we believe each hunter is entitled to harvest what ever gets them excited so long as it’s legal. Our excitement in this video is why we deer hunt. We are genuinely thankful and happy when we make a quick clean kill on any deer. Some hunters would or wouldn’t shoot that buck but the point is - it doesn’t matter. We’re all participating in hunting and conservation. We encourage all hunters to harvest whatever they want. Main goal is to keep hunting intact for the next generation and get them excited to enjoy the outdoors.
@brandonroach77803 жыл бұрын
@@TheHuntingPublic I appreciate the response back and your view point. However, I assure you I’m not the only person with this mindset. Regardless, it’s not so much of what you killed it’s more of how you handled the situation. I get it, you all are making a living off content and it’s great content. Mine and many others have an issue with you using your platform to disclose these areas you hunt. What is the purpose of telling all your followers that you’re in Middle, TN. Why not just say TN? Why disclose how you got the information needed to hunt these areas? Again, this isn’t your home town. The bottom line is it’s public land. You all are traveling the US to hunt it all, kudos for that! All I’m bringing to light is stop disclosing everything you do. Not the tactics used but the places you are. I know you have to make a living and you’re doing what you love but you don’t have to lay out to the world the how, when, and where to each hunt. I’ve had two people that I know travel to TN to hunt the areas that you all disclosed, literally 1-2 weeks after you up loaded your video. That’s just two people that I personally know, how many more do I not. It’s frustrating because that could have been avoided by not giving all your followers the ammo needed to come and hunt TN. You know from hunting the land you did, the 1,000s of acres “open” to hunt is extremely small and most isn’t even huntable because of houses. Lastly, I’ll respond to your direct comment about shooting what makes you happy. SeekOne would not have a following if he didn’t shoot giant deer in the city. If he shot the deer he shot in TN on his normal videos it’d be another city limit hunting video. He shoots giants, why? Because that’s what gets the views, no one can deny that. You all rolled up and flung an arrow at anything. Guess what happened when one of the guys I knew showed up to TN to hunt based off your content? They killed a yearling. Why? Because that license was burning a whole the last day they were here. Guess where the deer landed? On my front porch because they didn’t want to mess with it. This same person has had an awesome season in his home state but once in someone else’s back yard (mine) the standards drop and anything gets shot. This here is my point. No one is arguing with your tactics or how or what you shoot. But I do think you have a responsibility as a influencer to do it the right way so that the content is great but the locals aren’t impacted.

Need some tequila and lime with that salt? You got to get it how and where you live. And, Lee won the truck. Hunting is hunting regardless of how it makes you feel. Always nice to hear from the self righteous who put their personal method or tradition of choice on a pedestal and hate on that of others. I'm sure every animal you've bagged you did it with your bare hands in Alaska and had to fight the grizzlies for your meat.

It’s great to see you guys link up with them! I just started public land hunting in Michigan since I filled my resident tag in Indiana! The thought never would have crossed my mind if I didn’t find your channel, so for that, thanks guys!!

Fun when you work together with other channels. Love the Nashville area and Tennessee. I hope I can go there next year (from Sweden).
