Another great vid. That soft ground is not something i can comprehend being from central Tx. Really crazy to see make waves.

I'm looking at the Insta360 One R for filming my hunts. What are your thoughts so far using it specifically for hunting? To film walking in and sitting in a tree or ground blind hunting? Low Light is an issue for all action cams but wondering just how bad the low light picture is compared to the GoPro 8, with 360 mod lense. Enjoy your videos and your wife is a trooper.

Great hunt. Love seeing you two enjoying your passion. She's a trooper, most of us would have went back to the truck after sinking waist deep lol. I see a book in her future.... I married the DIY Sportsman: A lifetime of muck, innovation and antlers .... lol Looking forward to your next hunt :)

What are you wearing on your feet in the first minutes of the video? I'm needing something like that for work. Just don't know where to look. Thanks for any info and all your awesome content.

I have to echo previous comments, your wife is a trooper! Also what the heck are your squeaky floats?

They are Mudder Boots, intended to help prevent you from sinking as far into muck, originally designed for guys like duck hunters in mud flats and salt marshes.

I've been dragging my girlfriend out hunting since we started dating and she has become addicted to it. She's taken 2 deer and 2 turkeys with her bow.

In South Louisiana, we call that floutua (Flow-toa) or floating marsh. It's like walking on a waterbed but with holes in it.

At least this time of year, there's less bugs in the swamp. Very cool video, as usual.

Sam is a trooper! I've never met a woman that would follow me across a floating bog and then sit in a tree to film me. If I ever do, I'm marrying her. lol Those bog shoes work? Some of these places scare me, but I'm always alone, so no one to help me get out. I've been stuck enough to leave a pair of boots behind. It can be a struggle.
@DIYSportsman4 жыл бұрын
They work well for the stuff they were designed for like the tidal flats. It seems they don't work quite as well in these really grassy areas since the grass prevents them from fully spreading open like intended.

@@DIYSportsman Thanks man. I'm going through the same habitat, so I'll just keep trudging. Luckily a lot of these spots I can kind of "hummock hop". Be safe out there and good luck!

Where can we get those rubber shoe attachments and do they really work?
@DIYSportsman4 жыл бұрын
They're called "mudders". They seem to work best on more open soft ground like mud or silly ground without grass. Once you get a lot of grass it seems to keep the wings from opening up as much.
