The hollows are catching at entry of the chamber. Full metal is smooth so it feeds better. But there should be no excuse. Get rid of the firearm and write the manufacturer as well.

Salute' It's awesome your family still has there land. I'm starting with me. One of my cousins from Philly sold our land in Lynchburg Virginia before I've became of age. 5000 acres gone. We use to hunt, fish, farm, learned all kinds of woodsman skills on that lady. Family gatherings Xmas, Thanksgiving , horse riding.

Hey sir, polish the feed ramp and check the spring in the magazine. If you leave the mag loaded to the max capacity in a Taurus mag, the spring will get weak and cause a failure to feed. I have the PT92 and it is very sensitive to worn magazine springs. Glock in 40 cal or 10mm is perfect for long gun backup. Thanks for following gun safety practices, sets an excellent example for all. Awesome restraint for not harvesting that doe with the yearling, there was no reason for it. You are the man!!

People have a tendency to think that being successful is all about the amount of money that one has at their disposal, OG you have shown your subscribers that just living a positive, non complicated life is sometimes the best way to enjoy life. 5yrs ago I moved my family away from a major city to a place where there's plenty of farmers, no sidewalks and plenty of water around and she reminds me everyday how thankful she is. Yep that's the main reason I go hunting is for the peace. Second reason is to fill my freezer so I don't have to buy meat at the store. It's cheaper to spend a few bullets then to buy one pack of meat.

@@bryantmention6898 alot of people don't like wild meat cuz they say it's gamey tasting. The trick to taking the game taste out of deer, hog , elk, ECT. Is to soak the meat in ice water in a cooler for about a week. It tastes just like home grown beef. Me and my wife raise our own chickens and eat then cuz there's some kind of growth hormone in the store bought chickens. You can tell me a three month old chicken is full grown ready to eat without growth hormones. Cuz in three months my baby chicks aren't much bigger than my hand much less full size.

You can send that Taurus back to the manufacturer and they can fix you up pretty easy. I've seen feed ramps with burrs that will cause hollow points to hang up. A gunsmith mys stone and polish it for a fix. I've also seen the slides hang on top of the barrel because the fit and finish isn't always great on some Taurus pistols. Both are easy to work on, and can get your pistol to run like its supposed to run.

Polish the feed ramp with a Q tip and some mother's rim polish people talk alot of junk about hi points but they take a beating and shoot everything u put in it

Bossman when you have a gun that won't feed anything its probably the magazine. Taurus is known for really bad magazines. If you can get springs from someone like Wilson that might solve the problem. You might have got rid of that gun. I just found your channel and your camp is like any camp I've been in EXCEPT YOU HAVE GOOD FOOD! GOD BLESS

Get some lapping compound, lube it up with that and run about a box of ammo through it to hone the upper and lower perfectly. Also, check wear marks on your magazines to see if you need to burnish or file the tops of your magazines. Magazines don't always come perfect and need some fine tuning on the metal. I had to do that with my brothers PPK 32 Auto. It was his magazines and not the pistol.

Don't know if you still have this pistol but you can have the feed ramp polished and it will feed. It's hanging on the copper jacket behind the led tip. That's why it feeds with round jacketed bullets. The feed ramp is too sharp and digs into the led tips then hangs up on the copper jacket. This is common with a lot of pistols. S&W or Glock would be my choice. You don't want a hog stomp you and cut you up cause of a jamb. Keep the videos coming. Love watching.

Watching you having trouble with your Taurus you might try one of two remedies 1:Have your feeding ramp smooth down. 2.Use BALL AMMO (FMJ). Having your feeding ramp smooth down resolved my problem several years ago with my 45ACP 1911. It only happened to one of my handguns and it has not happened since. A new sub and thumbs up for Y'all. Growing up in the segregated south of the Mississippi Delta of the early 60s I knew even then I was privileged to be doing what we were doing. I'm not one of these fools that cannot see the things for what they were and for the most part still are. Many years later I got asked to leave a hunting club because I took one of the deaf teenagers, I worked with deer hunting over the weekend with me. I worked as an interpreter for the deaf and had been working with him for a few years by then. He always had questions about hunting. His dad was a bass fisherman but had never had a place where he could hunt so the child had never been to the woods. He, I, and his dad talked and picked a weekend during doe season to go and off we went. Grilled some steaks and got up and cooked breakfast and headed to the stands. Had a chance to shoot a doe but he wanted to wait to see if maybe some legal horns might show up. They did not but he had a good time doing the whole hunting camp scene. Next time I paid my dues my check was returned to me. LOL. Such is life. All of that to say we have many young folks that would greatly enjoy and learn from the chance to do these things and they never get the chance. Granted there are public hunting areas, but if you do not live near them then you still have no place to go. Enjoy and thanks for the share.

Your a good man and father. That Taurus is the problem. Get rid of it. My partner got one and it always got hung up. All the ammo your using is good. I prefer USA made pistols and highly recommend the Smith and Wesson 9mm SV or 40 Cal SV. I’ve been carrying either or since 1988, and only one hang up on 9 mm , which has 10,000+ rounds. It was also my full frame service pistol when I was a TDCJ Parole Division Parole Officer. Great pistol and great price at Academy! Stay well and safe ! Great videos !!!!!

Glad to see two black men enjoying the tradition that is deer hunting. None of my black friends or any black people I meet ever seem to take any interest when I invite them hunting. I always hear the response “hunting is a “white people” thing”. I get the same response from most women. Hunting is a “man’s thing”. I hope we can move forward as a society and realize that hunting is something that should be enjoyed by all people. Rich, poor, men, women, all races; hell even your dog can enjoy the oldest tradition known on this planet.

Man!! Where do I start....Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Thanks for your leadership that you show, while still allowing the young men to grow and flourish into their own. That safety that you show with your side arm, is something lost in a lot of settings. I carry that same Taurus, well, mine is a 9mm. Funny because of all the expensive/extra-extra hand pieces I have, that one is my favorite. I was using the Hornady self-defense rounds. Haven't had a issue. I don't know about the 40 caliber. It does should the metal jackets better. It put a hog down for me last year. You guys definitely have a subscriber in me. I like that grendel.

I shoot a glock 26 and done the same thing. I learned when you shooting it, you have to prevent blow back. That means you have to prevent the nose of the pistol from rising to high and have better control of the shot. If you let the recoil kick back too far you lose energy in the shot and it will hang up every time. I have no problems now. Hope this helps.

My Taurus did that. I ended up breaking it down and I Filed something down in the barrel. Like a factory manufacturing spur. Was gravy then. Could be the spring in the mag also.

Hey Bossman, before you get rid of it .... Take it out and run the snot out of it! A few tips below from me. PEOPLE do say they have trouble but I have a taurus g3c, it eats everything..... 1. I changed the recoil spring and 2. polished the feed ramp first thing and 3. ran a few hundred rounds through it to see what it was gonna do and I have no trouble at all. Wish I was down there . I'm about to set out on Mobility Scooter adventures in Mobile Alabama, places I can ride my scooter to, local fishing spots, places of interest, the amazing Architecture this 300+ year old city has! Fishing spots where Alligators have taken stray dogs, my scooter only runs 22 mph I hope it will out run the gators (LOL) I'm a 71 year old 15 year Cancer and 2 time heart attack survivor! And I'm out to have fun after being stuck in a 4mph wheelchair for 3 years, now that I can go 22 mph I'm going to go the whole 36 miles this scooter will go everyday(lmao) My health has held me down but now I'm going to get her done buddy! Love your channel. Hey, if that torus hangs up you can't trust it.....need I say more? One more thing. Every time a round gets hung up it could possibly force the lead into the case and cause overpressure. That could be very dangerous.

Yessir those hollows will do it on a compact. Gotta be full. Sometimes as well don't pack the clip to capacity. 40 s&w pretty good with hollows though I owned 1.

I've had a Taurus millennium pt145 45 ACP for years and it's never jammed once and it's cycle every thing not one problem in years.

I have a g2c and some of the mags from Taurus won’t feed very well if you fill it to full capacity. I had a few hang ups with mine mis feeding when I filled the Mag up completely. Try leaving 1 out. I love my both my glocks. Good luck this season.

Taurus guns are trash. I bought a 45 Taurus in 09 that jammed here and there. I bought a Smith And Wesson 40 cal. and I must say, I'm pleased.
