Hey man I’m a Florida boy myself and I absolutely love hunting and fishing and I love your channel. You are such an inspiration to me and I want you to know how much your videos mean to me. I also run a family farm with my cousin and these vids are like a little escape. The opening day of deer season is really amazing and it gives me chills every time. Awesome video Rob.

I sure appreciate what you do Robert. My 11 year old and I watch all of your videos. Not sure if you've noticed, but there's not a lot of wholesome stuff out there when it comes to media. We both enjoy your material, and we both learn a ton. God bless you and your beautiful family, and please keep doing what you do. You were made to do what you do and it is obvious. Just know you are a blessing. Also, we love the whole family of Everglade spices and use at least one (if not more) with most meals. We also sport your shirts when we go fishing, and often those shirts get conversations started with other outdoors-men. Thanks again. (Houston, TX)

Even though you gutted and cleaned your catch hundreds of times, we the viewers still want to see that hundreds of times too. P.S. Would like 2 see videos of the new house being constructed and everything surrounding that build. Double P.S. Don't mean 2 sound pushy cuz I'm not that kind of guy so.... Please... 👍🏾👍🏾

Man the memories I have flooding back after watching this video! Reminds me of hunting with my dad! I haven't had a chance to go hunting in a few years. It's been a tough battle since our house burned down and we lost everything. We are getting back to the point where I can actually afford a cheap gun and maybe next year I can get back to the hunt! Thank you for the wonderful videos and the hard work you and your family do for all of us watching! God bless brother

I am late to this video. But like all of them, it is a joy to watch. And thanks to Rob and his beautiful family for sharing the bounty of their lives together. God bless the deermeatfordinner channel and all of the fans. By the way, this is the rifle that Rob used to get a moose in Canada on the Cree Nation in a canola field. With one shot. A moose with a Hornady 143 grain ELD-X out of his Howa 1500. Awesome. Of course, that Burris Eliminator makes a good solution for the shot.

This episode had such a pure feel to it. So many shows nowadays hardly have any excitement they harvest a big buck because the hosts are desensitized to it. Truly refreshing to see all your real, raw emotions: the joy from shooting a great buck, the love for your family, and the happiness from the food you make. Love the channel, the best outdoors channel anywhere!

@@johnnyonthespot1947 I believe he has some deer dressing videos that are much newer than that. He would put a link under the main video, that had restrictions, so anyone who wanted to see the deer being dressed out & prepped, could watch it. I don't remember which deer hunting ( and hog ) videos they were, or if those links are still available. Maybe Rob can help you guys out with that info.

Decades ago when my mom was married and living in Georgia, the "woman of the house" who they were renting from taught her a lot of Southern cooking. One of the tricks indeed was putting a knob of butter into the oil, especially when frying chicken. She always maintained that you can't call it Southern frying if you don't put butter in the lard or butter in the oil. And your recipe is simple, but killer. Nice job~

My dad owned a Butcher shop and we processed deer meat every year along with elk moose antelope wild boar and Bear I can count on one hand how many people knew how to clean their animal properly your animals are cleaned properly that's why they taste so good. Here in California our deer season is in what are the hottest months of the year so it is crucial to try to cool the animal off which is hard to do . Thank you for the great video.

I've found through personal experience that deer that feed on farmers crops, corn, soy beans, etc, have less gamey flavor. BUT- they also have less flavor over-all! Deer that get mostly wild forage have a deeper flavor, not that gamey thing that everyone thinks. Especially when the cleaned carcass is allowed to age in the fridge for 2 weeks before butchering. At that time, you dang well better have some seasoned cast iron ready!

Nice buck Rob. My Grandma's (and now mine) forever venison dinner. Dust with salt, pepper, flour. Fry. Then make your milk gravy. Serve over grits or rice. Cat Head Biscuits or just a stack of Wonder Bread and butter and Le Sueur Very Young Small Sweet Peas. My family is now 6th generation Ormond Beach, FL. The whitetails here are 60 to 110 dressed So we cut virtually the entire carcass into fry meat. Could not afford to process for sausage! Same dinner recipe for a hog, squirrels, gators and turtles!! LOL

Is that a house behind the deer?

It was a house directly behind the deer. This must have been an abandoned house, no one would have shot otherwise.

Hey Rob, Something that could help you shoot even more accurate in cold weather. the Canadian sniper that has the longest kill in Afghanistan, learned from a competition shooter, that if he kept his ammo warm, even just a couple degrees, his accuracy was greatly improved. (not that you were inaccurate!! LOL!)

Sorry but Sgt Craig Harrison ( English) is the longest kill in Afghanistan and history actually !! But be proud of our common wealth cousin from Canada still peace!

@@lordthomastravis1617 The previous record was held by British sniper Craig Harrison, who killed a Taliban fighter in 2009 in Afghanistan from 2,475 metres away (1.5 miles). The Canadian Armed Forces now holds three of the top five positions for longest confirmed kill shots. A Canadian sniper breaks the record for the longest kill shot . Jun 28, 2017 · But this sniper shot is 100% real and it is unbelievable to comprehend. A sniper with Canada’s elite special forces has obliterated the world record for the longest confirmed kill shot ever. An other worldly distance of 3,540 meters long. That is 2.19964 miles away. Curvature of the earth, weather, ambient temp. all affect shots like this .
