@4:52 and @7:46, it sounded exactly like some gearing started grinding/grindy mesh and I knew right away, this wouldn't be a "true" 1/10 (these cheaper brands have erratic scaling). This is definitely 1/12, but it still looks like a blast, with enough power, at a decent price. I love these cheap little bastards. Thanks for the video, man.
@Rek_Rc10 ай бұрын
That sound was the tires contacting the body. I heard it the first time and checked it out. The gearing is good which amazes me because we've been bashing this little car pretty hard since the video was filmed. I'm sure I'll strip them eventually driving like I do though. DEERC actually has some parts support though so hopefully I'll be able to fix the car without too much digging for parts. It's not a car I'd say someone should run right out and buy, but I wouldn't tell someone not to buy one either.

Looks like a good budget rc car. I’ve seen some videos a while ago about it that made it sound like it wasn’t a good car but it seems to be a fun car
@Rek_Rc8 ай бұрын
It's all in keeping your expectations within reason relative to the RC car and its price point. This one for the price was better than I had expected and I was pleasantly surprised. Now, could it have kept up with those Mojave trucks on the road or in grass? No chance. But, on loose dirt it could, because I was able to use all its power and it handles pretty well.

damn, didn't see the price on that, its pretty good for a brushless setup. I spent exactly the same amount on a 2nd hand FTX/VRX 1/10 with brushless upgrade. The new FTX/VRX brushless is still $270usd, so at $180usd this is the first I've thought maybe my money was better spent elsewhere
@shadyhazza10 ай бұрын
oh only 2845 motor, it is sounding like a 1/12. i can't find the wheelbase published u happen to know it? i got a 3660 and I get sway bars also, but still this one performs nice and 2nd body shell with some handy batteries
@Rek_Rc10 ай бұрын
This car is very able for its budget specs for sure. It's been really durable as well. I would tell someone to run out and just buy one, but I wouldn't recommend against doing so either. I really like it, but it's going to be more of a WOW for newer RC hobby participants. Though, I'm really enjoying it.
@shadyhazza10 ай бұрын
@@Rek_Rc i'd been shopping around for a cheap 1/10 for a while before i settled on 2nd hand vtx/ftx machines as projects. ended up getting the VRX Octane XL, FTX Bugsta and FTX Vantage 2.0 all based on same chassis (Octane is the articulated version rebranded FTX Outlaw and also used for their trophy trucks, also slightly longer wheel base). Everyone compares to an MT10 for 1/10 which doesn't really help when you don't have an MT10. And sometimes people are just calling a1/12 a 1/10 scale. But these VRX/FTX machines usually sell for over $250usd brushless

For such a budget spec car it really impressed me. It's not even MJX level build, but it's certainly better than I expected. It's one of those odd cars that you wouldn't tell someone to run out and buy, but you wouldn't tell them not too either. But, in the dirt it was sticking right with those big Arrma 4S mojave much to my surprise.
@ReadytoRunRC10 ай бұрын
@@Rek_Rc perfectly worded there. Wouldn’t tell them to run out and buy it but wouldn’t stop them if they did want to buy it. I like that. It did give the Mojave’s a good run for their money. I was surprised how it kept up. Going from home to second helped a little too.

Had mine for about a week and gears started grinding after about 5 runs. The speed for this was subpar although yours does seem like it has more power. There is a car called axgutter exact same but much faster. Also i bought mine about 4 months ago so maybe there is a difference?
@Rek_Rc10 ай бұрын
There may be. But I'm not sure, though this car seems to be a love it or hate it kind of car. I had a great experience with it personally, we even took it to the skatepark in the Bezgar video and it still runs fine after replacing a shock. The hosim X-07!was that kind of car also where it was either great or garbage depending on which batch you got.

Great deal 2 bodies and 2 3s (3 cell) batteries. They must be Lipo's because they have balance leads. IMHO .... Anyways the car preformed like a champ. Very impressive... Beyond expectations.
@Rek_Rc10 ай бұрын
I really was surprised how good it drives. It's not a speed runner by any stretch, but it's a decent, durable budget RC that handles well enough to hang with cars 5 times its cost in the dirt!
@shadyhazza10 ай бұрын
the angry snail 2 cell lion 18650 batteries have a balance lead, and have 7.4v printed on the label, so I have to assume you treat them like a lipo. But even when you charge them at lower voltage they still seem to hit their mAh rating

@shadyhazza10 ай бұрын
@@Rek_Rc haha don't take my assumptions as a guarantee ! fatal mistake it probably matters more for storage charging - 3.7v per cell or 3.85v per cell? but it probably matters less with lion batteries since they are lower C rating/more stable. i always keep my lion batteries fully charged for all other applications and with my RC ones either fully charged or mostly. It'll degrade the batteries more but i believe the lions can take it. i just keep them stored in a cool spot
