Congrats on the machine!! When you want to turn sharply like you did on your driveway use the bucket to help the machine turn so that you save your tracks and don’t mess up your driveway! Do this by swinging slightly to the direction you want to turn, then lift the machine up, then swing in the opposite direction that you want to go while using the tracks to spin in the direction that you want to go, then set the machine back down. This is called a jump turn, you can probably find a video to explain it better but this should help 😀

Nice machine! I just bought a 35g new, I came from a backhoe on a tractor and struggled with the controls at first switched it over to backhoe mode and was way easier for me

Thank you! That's exactly where I came from. I'm still using backhoe controls, but other operators tell me excavator pattern is worth learning because the controls are more fluid.

For sure! This is the 60G long arm. It's about a $1500 option but gives you another foot of reach and a 650 lb counter weight. The counter weight also helps pick up heavier loads closer to the machine.

Strongly suggest getting a ripping Tyne.very good for removing trees and stumps.nice machine though.

@@ryan123004Rippers can be a bit expensive ,but well worth it,even if you have like rocky parts on your land or you can use it for ripping out concrete.

How does the ripper work for pushing tree over?

young man , u need find the in of rhe ROOTS first , then dig your way back to the tree stump , where be ez to push the tree over , u want have to must bounce or rocking your machine , plus + u too !

I don't like the beeping while driving forward.

The machine beeps whenever it is moving either direction. I think this has to do with workplace safety laws. The beeping can be silenced with a button in the cab.

What did it cost. Looking at a Kubota U55-5 for total price of 73,000

I paid $67k for the machine, long arm, hydraulic thumb, 24" bucket. I bought a bunch of other buckets and a brush mulcher on top of that.
