PlotStart has a shelf life of 4 years. It is a spray that provides instantly available calcium to the soil and plants. Historically, lime has been the source of calcium. However, with traditional lime taking months to activate and liquid lime only lasting a single season, PlotStart begins working the moment it touches the ground and provides available calcium for years to come. The 2.5 gallon of PlotStart will cover up to one (1) acre. PlotStart can be applied at or before planting to both tilled and untilled ground. I used it last year. It brought my PH up on all 6 plots according to soil tests done shortly after deer season was over. Some of the plots came up near a full point.I just received my order for 2021. Great job guys, I am a believer.

What if you are No Till Drilling or No Till Broadcasting seed into standing dead vegetation? Will it work? Or does it have to be sprayed directly on bare soil?

What is in plot start that raises the PH? If it is only Calcium that does not raise PH. For Lime or Calcium Carbonate CaC03 it is the Carbonate that raises the PH not the Calcium

Plot Start, I use 2.5 gal. per acre with a 4-gallon back sprayer. it is 8x sprayers per acre. 8x4 = 32 gal of water. 10 oz per gal.

What about on seedlings? If I spray it on clover a week or two after it germinated because I didn’t get around to putting it down when I seeded.

You do not want to spray PlotStart on growing plants, clover (existing clover) is pretty hardy so you can get away with it spraying in the rain so it washes into the soil. However you do not want to spray seedlings, of any variety, it will burn them up.

Saying this product is a Lime alternative is 💯 inaccurate. Calcium, which is what this product is, DOES NOT increase your pH. Don’t waste your money just buy lime and do the work. If you want to add this product to boost your calcium levels, it does that well but don’t ever believe that this product will give you same benefit. I bought in once and only once I want make that mistake again
