@Orwell2024 I guess it's all about what someone would need. When I've worked outside for the day and there's been no way of making a hot drink, it's proved invaluable. Just take a 2L bottle of water and I have cold water to drink and can make coffee/tea and soup. If you want something hot and don't have a method to boil water it's a great idea. Cheers, Adrian

Just ordered this, based on your review, I just chose the UK plug they offered as a option. I have been wanting to put my Jackery more to use, and wanted a way to boil water in my car. This will be a game changer for me with camping. Ordered and awaiting. Wanted a way to boil water with out using gas canisters for ages, but the watts have been too high for the Jackery. This based on your review should work. Not bothered about 15 min wait as long as I can do a hot drink, all good. Stay blessed and safe 🙏🏿

@happydays9613 Awesome! I'm glad the review provided something useful. I've got to admit, when I first got it, I didn't think it would work with the smaller units, especially the Jackery 240. Turned out to be the best combination for traveling light without burning anything to boil water. I use it for work as well, when out in my car, having a hot cuppa anywhere is a game-changer for me and costs me nothing other than some coffee! With all the money I spend to review battery systems, this is one of the best value purchases I've made (also bought another). Please can you let me know how you get on once it arrives? All the best, Adrian

@@DADvinci Hi Adrian, thank you for your response. Glad it is really proving useful since your review for you. My Jackery 240 should more beneficial now with this little boiling system when it arrives. Yes of course, I will definitely let you know how I get on when it arrives. As I am hoping to camping a lot this year, so hope it does the job. Loving the fact I can boil water in my car and you yourself have done it too. Hoping it arrives in time for my first camp in July. I had looked at so many boiling options with electric was losing hope, until I came across your review. This will be a total game changer for me too. Also impressed you ordered another. I tend to do that if something is good. Stay blessed 🙏🏾 Eliza

@@DADvinciHi, it arrived, instructions still in Chinese. It did not work with my Jackery, tried it at different temps and the Jackery would just shut down. Disappointed it doesn't work with mine, however I am fortunate to have a bigger power station non branded that it worked with, boiling within 3 mins. Great results so happy and about 4 watts used. Tried it twice, same result. I am going to try again with my Jackery, but not sure it will make any difference. They sent the wrong plug too, despite selecting UK plug option, used my cable from laptop. It will be a complete game changer addition for me with camping so not too disappointed as now can boil water for quick meals.

@happydays9613 I'm glad it arrived, so sorry it didn't work with your Jackery. I'm not sure what could have changed as my setup works fine, albeit with the expected long boiling time. Perhaps they've updated something on the kettle itself. Does it still read as 300W on the label (underneath)? Does your unbranded power station show the amount of watts used while it's boiling? I'm pleased it wasn't a complete let-down with it still working well for what you need if for. If you could let me know that would be great. Cheers, Adrian

how can the 150w inverter power it ? does it drop the voltage ? whats the main power for the kettle?
@DADvinci
@DADvinci Жыл бұрын
@matteocomensoli3883 Good day and thanks for your question. The kettle is rated at 300W and draws the current it needs. I wasn't expecting it to work on the 2 smallest (inverter) ones. The power stations typically provide 220-230V and don't come with voltage drop capability (e.g. Ecoflow X-boost). It still works and draws less watts, which is why it takes longer on the smaller inverters. I hope this answers your question. All the best, Adrian

Interesting. I've got a spardar which works on all 3 of my power stations via a ciggy socket. It s really low powered at either 80w or 120 w and holds 2 little cups or one good big mug full so Im wondering if thats the same capacity as your little kettle. It takes between 20 and 30 mins to boil though from cold . Is your kettle also a flask though to keep the drink hot because if it is, couldn't you put hot water in and then just boil it when you want and have the boil much quicker?..For reading Chinese instructions,I have found the google translate phone app works well in camera mode.

@Logotha Ironsides Good day and thanks very much for sharing. It's great to hear about different options too. This also helps other viewers out. Although this looks like a traditional flask, it's not a vacuum one. It does keep the water warm/cold for a little while and leaves me with the option to boil or drink cold (if not boiled beforehand), so flexible for me while out and about. Completely agree, translate does work really well on the instructions. Thanks again and all the best, Adrian

Hi Adrian, Great Video as always. I wondered if you still have the larger AllPowers 606Wh, and if so could you give the flask a go on it please. Wondering if it would trip out like the 372 did. I know the 606 has a larger inverter, so hoping it would be OK. Thanks, Grahame.

@Grahame Wright Hey Grahame! You're too kind, thank you😊. It works fine on my 666, so should be fine on the revised 606 version as it has the 500W inverter. @@DADvinci Hi Adrian, Just a quick update which may help others as well. The kettle arrived 10 days after ordering. Quickest anything has come from China for me. Works well with the 606 version, only takes 9 minutes to boil. @Grahame Wright Hey Grahame! Thanks again for your generous feedback and sharing for other viewers benefit😊👍. Looks like their 10-day shipping is still working, which is what appealed to me too (if only it was all like that). It definitely takes advantage of bigger inverters, so I can only assume that the circuity in the flask adapts to the power it can pull, as on paper it shouldn't have worked with the Beaudens 240's 150W inverter. Let's hope your 2am call outs don't happen too often, but at least you can have a nice cuppa now😊. All the very best, Adrian

Ordered one of these, as I carried the Explorer 1000 and a 1000w kettle hiking with me up a small mountain, and yes it works, but not at all recommended due to heavy weight. Hopefully one of these + an Explorer 240 will be massively more practical.

@Daniel B Hey Daniel! I’m glad to hear you've got yours now. That was something I wasn't expecting when I first went to do the video. On paper, I expected the Beaudens and Jackery to trip not the ALLPOWERS 372. The only thing I can think of is that the flask circuity adapts to the power it can pull, which is why it's great for smaller inverters (just takes more time). I bought a second one as it's been such a good unit and I can carry a little more water for longer trips. I hope all goes well on your next mountain hike! Cheers, Adrian

@Monik Monyk Good day! Thanks very much for your kind feedback, it's much appreciated😊. The Explorer 240 has a 200W 230V AC mains socket and the 12V output is good for up to 10A (10A x 12V = 120W), so on paper it should handle the lunchbox at 75W. I'd recommend testing before your trip and using the 12V output as this will help the battery last a little longer. I suggest taking both lunchbox power cables with you as a precaution. I also recommend taking the AC power brick to 'top up' the 240 if there are power sockets on the train or locations you may stop for a while. Please shout if you have any further questions and I hope you have a good trip. All the best, Adrian

@Tartan Rambo Good day and thanks for your comment. It's a shame, as I really wasn't expecting the result. If anything, I thought the Jackery and Beaudens might have tripped out with their smaller rated inverters. Great demo, yea I expect you’d need a 300 watt inverter minimum with added surge. The modified sine wave shouldn’t cause problems, it was just the wattage. @@DADvinci - ha, you’ve got a few power generators then, I’m currently using the “supa” 388 watt hour you demonstrated a while ago using a Renogy 100 watt panel; no issues so far. It’s interesting to see the Eco Plus Delta Max coming out soon, they are doing a U.K. version but I think 6k is expensive; although it is the Rolls Royce of generators. I expect Will Prowse will get his hands on one. It’s probably easier to make your own system up if you’ve got the space, the only cost restraint being battery storage with a Renogy lithium-ion polymer battery 100Ah battery costing £600. Anyway, thanks for the video Adrian, always interesting to watch and great to get a comment back. 👍😀

@Blair Pollard Good day and thanks for your comment. For me, it's been a great combo. The kettle will pull the power it needs and as you can see in the video the Jackery is fine with it. I must admit, on paper I thought there might have been issues when first using it on my smaller power stations. The Jackery has overcurrent protection. This means that the inverter will trip off if the device (kettle in this case) draws too much current for it to handle. It's never tripped my 240, but this is just my experience. All the best, Adrian

@CH3825 Good day. Thanks for your kind feedback, it's much appreciated👍. I completely agree that this isn't the best option for every situation especially if you only want a cup of tea/coffee or hot/cold water for shorter trips, but for me it's proved very useful. I can recharge the power station using my folding solar panel (weather dependent). I can charge my camera gear/tech/lights when out and about on extended trips, make packet soup/pasta for lunch (carry the dry ingredients and take water). I also use it at home as a one cup option I can run off any power station and charge using only solar (so good for grid backup too). This video came about due to the sheer number of questions I had from viewers about a kettle that could work with smaller power stations, not just from people who camp or tour, but those on the road for a living. I'm always learning, so if you could share the details from the environmental stand point that would be great. All the best, Adrian
