Blue crab have got me many times on my shrimp boat sorting table but when harvesting stones out of my blue crab traps I’ve always been ultra careful because those claws looked so strong looks like I was right it would hurt like hades now I know I’ll probably get hit by one this year just because I’m thinking that’s never happened to me

Decades ago, in ancient times, when I was a kid, I was at grandparents weekend house on the Weekie Watchie River, netted a big blue crab, and was, uh, curious, as to just how hard, they could really pinch! I stuck in a finger, and the crab quickly answered my question. I also quickly realized, I couldn't get my finger back, so I grabbed the other claw, and with my teeth, crushed the claw that had my finger! First Souci I ever tasted, and it worked, and to this day, I still have that same finger. I'd never mess with a stoner though! Never. Life's lessons learned.

You shouldn't remove both claws. Although it is legal, it isn't sustainable. The crab will have a very hard time surviving after release. You left them defenseless and barely able to catch food.

Hey Robert you and your family have inspired me and mine. I recently lost my young wife 31 years old, we have 3 kiddos, we watch your videos and we used to love watching your videos with crab and grouper catch And cooks together, we used to watch them all the time and talk about going to Florida/ Louisiana and doing it ourselves. Mustard Sauce (from this video) Ingredients 1 Tablespoon dry Coleman's mustard 1 cup Duke's mayonnaise 2 Tablespoons light cream 1 teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt 1 teaspoon A-1 sauce 1 to 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce fresh chopped basil for garnish extra salt Directions Mix mustard and mayonnaise together in a bowl. Add cream, salt, A-1,and Worcestershire sauce. Blend well. Garnish with basil. Add extra salt to the top of the sauce and serve with chilled stone crab. Curried Honey Mustard Sauce Ingredients 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup honey 1/4 cup prepared Dijon mustard 1/2 teaspoon curry powder 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) fresh chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish Directions Mix all ingredients except garnish together in a bowl until well combined and smooth. Garnish with herbs. Serve with chilled stone crab or use as a sauce for baking seafood.

I smashed my thumb in a car door, it is pretty painful. The nail wouldn't fall off and I had to have it removed. The removal was the most painful part of it

I have eaten just about every crab you can think of including kona ,king,snow,tanner, Dungeness, blue and Mud crab and there is nothing better than Stone crab claws....That is a meal for a King....
