We taught our dogs to protect our kids, even from us! We don’t hit our kids, never needed to when you set the ground rules early and enforce them consistently. But we’d pretend to so the dogs would react in a protective way and then reward them for doing so. No body was gonna be able to come near our kids without our scary looking 100lb boxer/lab mix and 70lb pit mix dogs from attacking them! 😈 Our kids are older teens now and our dogs are gone from this earth, but man were they the best dogs ever ♥️

@@GossipGyal1 Thank you so much! We lost both of our pups just this year to cancer, Buddy had a cancer that grew tumors around his heart which is very common in Boxers. And our Brandy had lymphoma, which is the most common form of cancer for all dog breeds, and it’s really aggressive too. Crazy terrible coincidence. But honestly I think the universe showed them mercy, neither would have been happy living without the other. They were inseparable since they were puppies, so leaving this earth within 6 months of each other was heart breaking for us, but probably the best, most fitting end for them. We’ve taken a few months to grieve but we’re about ready to get another couple in the next month or so. Our house is too quiet without having the tapping of little paws around here 💔

@@kofig8357 they were walking slow. Which is understandable so, they were gaugung the dog's friendliness. Obviously they weren't creepin slow, but slow non the less because they are going about their day, eyeing the dog probably, they might have wanted to pet it. The problem with walking slow is that in dog language and most animal body language slow walking means caution which can easily turn into threats and thus most most animals would like to be the first to scare the other off. It was less of the dog protecting and more the dog defusing the situation, keep in mind most animals especially predators would rather avoid serious injury if possible, so being the first to scare the other off is best.

I firmly believe Satan has Geese for pets. They are so dang mean. I grew up with two geese. One had a black beak and a hump on his nose and he was EVIL. I would get off the bus at the end of my driveway and the goose would charge at me down the driveway and chase me in the house running and squawking the whole time. We also had a black roster that didn't take no ish either. He chased me around the yard a few times I HATED THEM DAYUM BIRDS

When I was a kid, my dad had big black lab named Sparky. He would let us kids do anything to him, but if anyone came near the house while we were outside, it flipped a switch in that dog. He did not like anyone coming near us unless he was familiar with them.
