The thing with cats is that people expect them to be dogs. They're different animals. A dog is happy when its tail is moving. A cat is stressed or alert when its tail is moving. A cat will bite you when you stroke it for too long because it's an involuntary response of the body, not because it hates you. When a dog shows you its belly it's asking you to pet it. A cat is simply telling you they are comfortable showing you their most sensitive area because they trust that you won't touch it. When you touch it you're breaking that trust. That's why they'll bite you. Everyone should study cat behaviour before getting one. They're not dogs.

Animals actually have great memory so if you take the same way to get to a place or they’ve gone to that place frequently, they know exactly what’s up. When I rescued my first dog, he was honestly sad to leave his friends but he was so excited to be in our family because he was the only dog we looked at and he just pulled the staff member and ran straight towards us. Years later when we passed by the shelter on a road trip, he stood up in the car and barked as if to say “Man I know this place. Let me see if my homie is still here.”

Oh the reason why dogs hate getting their nails cut is because there are actually blood vessels in them. So if their nails are cut too far back, they’ll actually start bleeding. This typically causes them pain and you have to use styptic powder to help the blood clot and prevent an infection. Normally, dogs won’t trust you with their nails/paws after this unless you work with them using positive reinforcement. Essentially, associating getting nails cut with a good thing like a toy or a treat.

Yes it is I've, had them all my life and They have never been on my counters/tables..now as for soft surfaces they definably jumping on those just like all animals, but cats can be trained not to jump on things.. If you can train them to a little box, you can surely train them not to jump on counters and tables...

My dog has an actual auto-immune disease with her toenails and paw pads which make them very sensitive and she will cry and jerk in pain if they are not trimmed regularly so we have to give her trazadone to calm her so sometimes its not a matter of 'training' them! also the pup I had before her LOVED the vet so sometimes their reactions as a living feeling creation of God is legit

It all depends on how you train the cat. Especially as a kitten (although you can train a adult cat to not jump on things)... And then there's cats that don't do it at all, with or without training (like my cat). I had mine since he was a kitten and he has never jumped on my counters or tables.

Oh you should get a Cat 🐈🐱 Dee Shanell and not all cats jump on the counter. It’s very pot luck, some cars are very obedient and won’t do that. It’s just depends on what cat you pick up.

One of the most intimidating thing to do is to cut a dog's toe nails because if you cut to low you'll hit a blood vein that in their toe nails so I can see why some dogs & possibly cats get nervous when people hack at them especially that last one he looks so aggressive clipping that dogs nail, he may have been clipping to close to the dogs blood vein.

Things they put in dogs butts are called suppositories. They exist for humans to and they manly exist as a way to have dogs take medicine. Usually they are meant for digestive medicines such as laxatives but animals like dogs and cats are more likely to get digestion track problems like infection and swelling. It's also well known for dogs to hate taking pills so some pills tend to be taken as a suppository. I am not an expert but this is what I know. Human get anal exams too but dogs get problems more commonly since they never wipe, wear clothes, and tend to lick their own behinds.

Look as long as you get a cat when it's a kitten, you can train them not to jump on counters... Cats are hella more independent than dogs... All you really have to do with them is clean out their litter box and feed them and they pretty much mind their business... I would say get two kittens though so they have a playmate... Other than that, they funny as hell... Especially if they come across a mirror, see a bird, or see something they are unsure about, but the curiosity kicks in and they can't help themselves...

As long as yo dont laugh or allow the cat to get away wit behaviour you dont like then they'll eventually stop. I've had 2 cats and they were soo wonderful. They didnt jump nor attack anyone ever. Not even as kittens. it's the environment and discipline. Kittens have a lot of energy though but also sleep a lot. It only gets easier with a cat if you're not a crappy owner that laughs then complains when the cat continues the behaviour as they get older. I think you should get a cat
