I'm not sure if it's a growing trend or just becoming more visible, but it seems like many people are struggling to function as adults. They're either behaving messy or regressing into a state of immaturity when faced with challenges. While mental health certainly plays a role, it can't be used as a blanket excuse for all of these behaviors.

a lot of adults come from parents and families full of grown adults who are emotionally children. their adult family members' immaturity doesn't have to be shown this way in particular, but it's there. that's what happens when children in adult bodies have kids and can't teach them emotional maturity/regulation because they didn't bother to teach themselves how to mature first. this is why people who work in customer service jobs complain about older and elderly people who think that they can get what they want from businesses by throwing a fit, asking to speak to the manager (as if that's gonna get them special treatment), or "threatening" to never use those companies again 😂 the world is full of emotionally immature grown adults and it's not anything new.

Normally, depending on the “level” of ticket you book airlines will refund you your money to book a new flight or directly rebook you. But in the fine print on the cheapest tickets you would be responsible for paying for a whole new flight without a refund because you missed the flight, not because of a delay.

people can blame their mental and emotional issues on booze and other substances all they want. it's not that. substances just lower your inhibitions so the real aspects of you that you usually suppress comes out. that's why anxious or depressed people can start to drink to be able to socialise, because the true them is talkative and sociable while their anxious/depressed version of themselves suppresses that. that's why shy people can drink and find their confidence with it, because deep down they are confident - their fear of judgement just stops them from expressing themselves. if you're angry or sad when you drink, then you have MAJOR issues and need all sorts of therapy. don't blame that stuff on whatever you've been drinking/taken as a scapegoat.

Airports really are the new bus stations nowadays. I haven't been to an actual Greyhound bus station in quite some time, but did all the people that used to travel through those end up flying now? And if so, does that make those bus stations a nicer experience than it used to be? 🤣🤣🤣 I might just start taking Amtrak again. More expensive than flights oftentimes, and longer rides, but I've always had a decent experience on Amtrak honestly 🤷🏾‍♂️ Wylin' out on airplanes and in airports is crazy.
