OK, yours is 3rd tutorial on this subject I've seen so far and is by far the most understandable. Thank You, Dylan.

4 minutes in and I had to stop to say this... This is how a tutorial video should be done!!! Seems you left out absolutely nothing to have to guess at, yet so intuitively simple to follow. To me, the visuals are perfect and synced perfect with the audio. You should start a KZbin Class on how to make USEFUL Tutorials. TY TY TY!!!

You make by far the best tutorials. I have seen a lot of tutorials in Spanish which is my mother language but they only talk talk talk. But you really know how to explain step by step. Very understandable. Magnificent. I wish you made more mavic 2 pro videos. Thank you for all

There is also a good possibility to select a point (not POI, but blue point), e.g. like you did at 6:07, and you can use POI, just like you did, and also select a 'Camera Action'. There you can select turn on/off video, take a picture. So you need not manually click 'record' button. It also could be saved as a route setup (like you did here at home), found that pretty useful. NB: Thanks for your videos, they really help to learn/overview different useful things/tips on Mavic Pro 2!

Excellent stuff and thanks. Last week I put my left hand through my tablesaw severing tendons including my thumb. Until now I had given up on using my M2P for about 3 months, especially unfortunate as in 3 weeks I'm on holidays at Lord Howe Island here in Oz - perfect for drone footage. So here's bit of light for me in these challenging days. Many thanks and cheers from Sydney, Dave

You gotta also update the DJI GO 4 app before that waypoints icon can even show up. I was scratching my head why mine wasn't showing it until I updated the app. My iPad wasn't auto-updating even though I set it to.

Dylan, your tutorials are by far the best of the bunch on KZbin .. very concise and so easy to follow. This is a terrific resource! Could you please answer a question about this one. I tried what you'd described yesterday. The results were pretty good for first attempt, but in future, I'd like to pre-plan the waypoints. I use the DJI Smart Controller when flying and it's very good. However, I note that you use a nice big screen during your presentation. What's involved in doing that rather than doing it on my Smart Controller? If I planned the flight on something else, how would I transfer it to my controller before going flying? Thanx in advance, Dylan, and keep up the outstanding work.

This is a great upgrade, I have been using litchi for this very reason, seemed stupid to have to fly the route to set waypoints, kind of defeated the purpose.
@jeepofmike15 жыл бұрын
Can you still do it by flying the route you want and setting it that way? If you want
@SteveT__0015 жыл бұрын
Not pointless, if you want a close proximity waypoint route , say flying round and over a house then you wouldnt' really want to be guessing what altitude you would want, far better in this case to fly it just before you use it imo. However this is a great tutorial for a nice feature.

Wondering if it would be possible to create waypoints "offline" and then send them to pilot. Reason: Client wants footage of their land/buildings and cannot be there day of the flight. At least it would give pilot a general idea of what is wanted. The pilot could then get maybe 3 angles (height) and then the client could choose... ?
@carlosread58875 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! If you set your route with the "arc", How much of a curvature is applied? Can the user control the radius? Does the arc apply to all waypoints or can the user select to which points he wants to apply it?

Very nice feature, however DJI did not release the necessary update for the Smart controller yet. So to be able to play with the new stuff I have to link my original Mavic 2 controller again and use my IPhone........ smart isn’t it.

You having really great presentation skills! If you like this waypoint 2.0 feature, you should take a look at the Litchi App. The Litchi App has extraordinary waypoint planning features with ease. I been using Litchi App since the first Phantom 4.

Interesting. I’d like to see you fly up a street 3 or 4 blocks, with the drone on the centerline and the camera focused ahead on the centerline, with a slight crosswind. I haven’t been able to do that with Waypoints 2.0 or Litchi. I was able to do it perfectly with Autopilot, but unfortunately they stopped supporting that program.
@PhannyObsession5 жыл бұрын
You should have explained how to edit the mission when you get to the location. So, for example, you get to the Water Tower and realise you want to add/remove a Waypoint, adjust the POI location or change a Waypoint height etc.

It's easy. Just open the task and make the adjustments like you did before.

Nice video and very good explanation. Thanks Dylan for this job. Does anybody know if there is a way to prepare a Waypoint path "offline", I mean disconnected from the drone. I tried it just with the app connected or not to the controler the Waypoint mode doesn't show up. This is a bit stupid as waypoint planning can be taking time especially if you have obstacles or harsh terrain.
