I appreciate the work you put into this series of tutorials on the Mavic 2, Dylan. It's been very helpful. You are a gifted teacher. You don't rush or skip steps but you don't belabor your points either. Everything is explained clearly and demonstrated. Nice.

Thank you for this very, very informative video! I own a DJI Mavic 2 Pro for over 6 months and I never dared try those Quickshot modes as they seemed very complicated. Your video along with your very understandable and detailed explanations relly helped me to try out these modes. Thank you so very much. I am grateful!

OMG! Your tutorials are VERY, VERY good. Most other tutorials talk to you as if you already know how to get into the menus or as if your familiar with the software. You make it very simple to follow and explain everything in detail. You are a gifted natural born teacher. Keep up the good work my brother. I will subscribe.

What a great job you did with this video. I have been flying a Phantom 2 Vision Plus since it came out 3 or 4?? years ago, and I have just made my first upgrade to the Mavis 2 Pro, I should get it in a few days. Thanks Dylan! M2P is my first drone as of a few weeks ago. I was amazed, and taken back, how complex fly a drone was. Add to this ALL of the features {Quick Shots just one.} you get to master. I have learned, as with my first mirrorless camera {Sony A7rII}, that you simply don't go out and try to recall features for a variety of shots. My process is to type up what I wish to practice, printing it, place it in a plastic sleeve, and take it with me during my flying time. This way I have a menu to work off and makes my time more profitable. Thanks again!

i used the intelligent flights modes first time today , i suppose i was a bit confused at how slow the drone was moving, (usually i use it manually) i wonderered if something was set wrong, but then you mentioned speed ramping, i think the example i saw of helix was using that, which is why i wondered why it was slow lol

Great tutorials. Wonder if you have something related to taking off and landing on on a moving platform (i.e. vessels big enough to work as a landing platform but is constantly moving)? I work offshore and interested on filming launch and recovery maneuvers of an AUV (Autonomous underwater vehicle). The vessel is big enough to launch and landing with no problem. Vessel can hold position for landing, however, I am concern on the heave that would go up and down depending on the waves height. and worry that heave could affect the landing of the drone. Any thoughts?

Great tutorial ! Can I have some questions ? - can I use the sticks during the auto manoeuvers ? Like adjusting height ? - What is the lowest point to make a circle or boomerang ? - Is it able to make "circle" around a moving object ? Like runner, cycler or car ? - How can I stop abruptly the maneouver ( if I see a tree or building on the flying path ) ? Many thanks !

Just a tip, but don’t keep your White Balance on AUTO. You can see during some of the quick shots the temperature of the clip changes mid shot (especially during circle and boomerang) which is distracting if you were to use any footage professionally. Thanks for the overview of all the modes though, thumbs up :)

Hi Dylan - Firstly, thanks very much for your tutorials! They're awesome. I am hoping you can help. I have just purchased a Mavic Pro 2 and have flown it a couple of times. I also want to purchase a handheld camera and hope to blend the footage to make videos. My question is - Am I able to alter the dimensions so they are the same? Example - I had a play with GoPro and Phone Footage once, however when I tried to edit them together the film was waaaay out and I couldn't work out how to resolve the issue. Also, any recommendations for a handheld video cam would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :-)

Hi, I have a DJI Mavic Prp 2 and tried using the Quickshot function which worked but when I viewed it on the Smart Controller it was clearly speed ramping (Starting off slowly but then accelerating through the circle with a rapid desceleration at the end), which I thought was a process you would apply in post. On watching an advisory video on your KZbin the demonstration clip is in real time which is what I am looking for so I am a little confused! Do you know if the speed ramping in the device is done solely as a power saving viewing convenience ie. Will it play at real time when you put it into editing software, or are you stuck with it as a limitation of the Quickshot process? Thanks Andy C

Confidence is right.... Question #1 If I go to the point of interest, establish my height, distance from an object, speed of the orbit and clock-wise or counter-clock wise and hit "GO" will it start recording the video automatically or do I need to start the video recording just before I hit "GO"? Question #2 If I do a point of interest and decide to take some snap shots as the aircraft orbits the chosen object will it let me do that also (manually)? I'm new to the Mavic 2 Zoom. Please let me know.
@deeyung5 жыл бұрын
For question #1- You have to manually start and stop the recording process. So start this before you hit "go." For question #2- You either have to take photos or video. You can't do both at the same time unfortunately! I hope you are enjoying your drone!

Note: All quick shots on this Mavic 2 Pro are filmed at 4k/30 except for the Asteroid quick shot where it automatically changes to 1080p/30. In comparison to the Mavic Air 2, where ALL quick shots are limited to 1080p resolution. Keep in mind, the Mavic Air 2 does have 4k capability however, 4k is not compatible with the quick shots. Something to think about when considering to purchase.
