I'm a super newbie, not even a hacker (or planning to become one). Just a beginner software dev who follows these two amazing people on twitter. But I've got to say how well this talk is presented! I obviously don't understand everything, but I still get a vague idea of what they're talking about! So cool!

I am totally biased, yes. I admit it. But this is my favorite DEFCON talk since Dan Kimainsky taught me about DNS 13 years ago. These are my friends. I love them and I love this talk.

awesome talk , absolutely nails the technical detail while been accessible to all. Love the positive messages on collaboration and seeking challenges, so important in this time.

Excellent talk! A bit of a shake about the audio quality, but it doesn't really take anything away from the great content :)

23:10 - how did that happen? you typed "/etc/suoders" but it still gave you the /etc/sudoers as output instead of erroring that the file wasn't found... that is some pretty cool hacker black magic :P
@cdr22893 жыл бұрын
The demo uses a system where we copy the output of commands to be able to script and time them. Just a typo in putting that file together. Or black magic lol either way :)

> "Who put's containers on a mainframe"? Yeah, zCX is containers in z/OS, but we've had containers on Linux on Z for ever. Please don't conflate the operating systems with the hardware.

Wait, Linux runs on Z? Are you sure?

@@cdr2289 It just bugs me when "mainframe" discussions start and end with z/OS.

They mentioned linux containers on mainframe, though.

So... you didn't actually escape zCX's address space in the end? Well, keep trying :D

So True! Would you like to help us get that done?

Very poor audio! -Audio is very low and some what muffled. Could not hear the speakers that well. Watched a couple minutes then skipped around and realized the audio was low and hard to hear throughout the entire video. Very disappointed.

Your device has a really cool feature called a "volume control" you may find that turning it up allows you to hear quieter sounds! There's also closed captioning if you need it.
