It's the same with law enforcement. A cop can blatantly lie to you and it's considered legal, a part of their job duties. However, when a citizen lies to a cop it's illegal, and often ends up with the citizen being charged with a crime as well as being arrested and taken to jail. 2 tier judicial system for sure. Cheers

What specifically is good about it (apart of the creative narrative - that is brilliant as always)? All these creative, genial and brilliant people do not even _mention_ low consumption, or low-ER consumption, or strategies of frugal living or fasting or something like that. How is this possible?! I am puzzled. All this is a (creative) cannibalization of society by dopamine instant-gratification brain. It's painfully simple but true. Cannibalization is present on all levels (both material and abstract), does this paradigm even require an explanation?

The most important thing I learned from this talk: Be in and maintain a union!!
@syloui2 ай бұрын
I love how he spent half the talk talking about monopolization and how competition was what once kept industry players in check, only to end the talk with "the answer is unions" instead of giving big tech the middle finger in response to the carrot on a stick of six figure salaries and going off to start the competition that is lacking People don't want enshitification, they just don't think they have a choice. Unions seize your voice for the collective while parasatizing a chunk of your salary for no results. Look no further than the globalized decadence of the "American" auto industry despite the existence of the UAW, or the animation industry despite sagaftra: in the age of globalization they don't have to care about domestic work because they can always outsource to another country willing to work for pennies on the dollar. You beat them with superior products as time in memoriam has proven, like what happened to Bell and IBM. For the history of entrepreneurialism in tech we have far too many "tech bros" looking for exit velocity from selling out start ups to the nearest VC firm shadow ran by big tech anyway; the pirates of silicon valley were subsumed by the sellouts of silicon valley, we need more 70s Apples and Compaqs than FAANG wannabes and that stubborn willingness to stand up to them in the face of hostile take over attempts will be far more effective at saving us than unionizing

Tough to get through the first few seconds of mask mumbling...

@@trumpetpunk42 He sounded perfectly fine. The most he did was take breaths. That's the only critique and it's not a strong one. Watch it without video and it might help

Why? Just seeing someone wearing a mask tells me they aren't worthy of any further evaluation and can be easily dismissed.

Everyone needs to like and comment on this to try and boost it. Anyone over the age of 25 ought to remember how much better the Internet was even 10 years ago.

I’ve already floated a “don’t buy from ‘insert company’ day so we get to vote with our wallet and they see a huge drop in revenue for a day. But this needs coordination and devotion.

That was awesome! He like hacked the feedback or whatever that interference was by waving his arm up and jumping and was clearly following his sense of action there. lol
