I'm glad I get to watch these videos of Steve talking because I when I first got into Def Leppard and heard about Steve Clark and his passing, I knew he was a phenomenal guitar player, but I was wondering how he talked and what he was like as a person. Now I can say that Steve was really sweet and I never knew him, but I miss him dearly!!!

This footage of "The Riffmaster" is SO rare. I am not sure later generation Leppard fans realise that Steve was a deeply shy and private soul and there is not a lot of footage of him. Sure this is part of the pro forma record release/touring promo work all bands do, but even still footage of Steve is not as prevalent as it should be. The great Ross Halfin was the photographer who not only picked Steve very young [1978] as being something very special, Halfin has the most wide documented history of this genius, from stills, promo shoots and live. I never got to see Steve live, they came to Australia but again only for promo work. I remember hearing TLFL as a 10 year old and Steve's playing sent shivers up my spine. Live he oozed cool. Without Steve, and 'Mutt' producing wise, Leppard would not be able still some 30 years since Steve passed away - tour off the massive back catalogue Steve created, he penned the lyrics and created some of history's most iconic melodies, harmonies, hooks, bends, and of course riffs. Thank you so much for posting this.
