You caged your self, by holding your tongue. Honesty to others, and especially yourself is hard. I don't think we ever move past this. This reading was relevant when she performed it, and it's relevant today. It's rarely about the things you say, it's about the things left unsaid. Epic.

Just love it so much. The poem, her voice, her performance...it's just perfect.

I'm a convict of conscience caught in the chaos, torn between the thought and the thief, in the middle of a riddle all of us. I remember watching this about ten years ago and she's still got more mojo than my slow flow, but that's the way I go y'know.

How strange to hear such an echo of my little, grey world, from what I thought as a Princess in an Ivory tower.Thank you for reminding me of my humanity, and that we all struggle to make sense of this life,we share.

loving this greatly because as fellow prisoner to say words unliked. I feel frozen too. I feel so close, and yet so far. Losing my confidence no longer. This P.O.W. only can last so much longer. I'll become so muich stronger. Once when i speak with the volume of a lion. To those wgo don't know. My roars aren;t as silent. Louder than human kind. young or old. My tongue is my weapon. Gonna be stronger than any psuchological method. Peace and love to The Keys, and their families beside them!

really weird, I met huxley as my friends were promoting the gig so we were hanging out with him after & I asked him about the sample and how cool it was that he came across it etc. He literally just got awkward and said nothing. My friend asked him at another point later that night and he responded the same. it was like as if he didn't know that it was alicia keys, strange

@skyway2006 I remember it being late at night when I watched this, I was probably tired and overemotional. Because I agree with you now. It's really typical, tired, drab, and she takes herself too seriously.
