I’ve had these speakers for about 3.5 years now and they are absolutely incredible. Great sound and very good price.

Awesome review. 15 years ago I heavily invested in Definitive Technology 7001Sc pair BP7002 pair & BP7006 pair CLR2500 CLR 2300 & CLR2002 w/ Studio Monitors 450's & 350's still kicking ass 🔊 🎶 mint shape & to be honest have Sandy Gross to thank. Yes yes I watch all the latest & greatest but no need to swap out when they sound just as good if not better than the latest.

Exactly Right, No need to spend if they sound amazing. I have experience with The BP 7002, If they still made them I would own a pair They have Amazing Sound Stage!

I had an opportunity to buy a single unit at a low cost. Tried to find an affordable mate for my budget before the purchase, but could not, so I just use it as a crazy awesome Subwoofer. Specs say 19 Hz, which sometimes is bad as it plays things that are not musical. During the first hour of running it, I thought, "what is going on outside", because the bass was like nothing I ever experienced. I will probably be parting out the rest of the speaker's components to recoup my costs. Simply amazing bass.

I have these and I have to say, these speakers have some serious power with great 3D sound. But be careful as they can be a little too loud. It’s better to buy these if you are a homeowner with no neighbors to annoy with.

The CS-9080 center channel is also a very good complement to the BP 9080x’s.

I too have these along with the cs9080 centre & 2x DI 8's in ceiling speakers, I'm considering adding 2 SR9080's as well.

@@kingdomtek8551 I really want these speakers, but don't want to have to replace the internal amps. How bad is the speaker pop or whatever everyone says? Can these still be played without the internal amp? I have 2 15 rythmiks so bass isn't an issue

@@jrparker1108 I have not had any issues with these speakers in the almost 2 years that I have had them. If you are scared about the Amp failing I would get the D17 speakers they sound as good if not better I will be getting them soon myself.

I have a pair of old DT 8060's. 1 speaker has a bad Amp and DT isn't making amps anymore. Trying to get the old Amp fixed. If not, I might consider the 9080x for replacement speakers as the rest of my system is all DT and want to stay with it. So, in a way, I hope they can't fix them.

I hear a lot of people say they wouldnt buy them because of the amps, I have had no problems but I figure it to be a small percentage of speakers. I am bow trying to get my hands on their demand series towers to see if they produce the same type of sound.

@@kingdomtek8551 I've done allot of updating to my system in the past month. I had difficulty finding an amp for my old 8060's so decided it was time to replace them. I purchased the BP8090X towers. I also purchased a new Marantz 8015 Receiver. These together brought new life to my system. My old Pioneer Elite receive I discovered the LFE out was not sending out strong signals to the sub. The receiver brought my old MK Sub back to life as well as I was tempted to replace it with the SVS series of subs. Not sure which model. But, for now holding off. I also added 4 BP in ceiling speakers the 8in ones. Wow, what I have been missing all these years! So, the only thing I don't have hooked up yet are the Height channels from the 8090x speakers. I had heard mixed feelings about using them. That it could take away from the ceiling speakers. Others said it will just enhance them. So, I have recently purchased an emotiva 2-channel amp. Waiting for it to come in as I don't like the idea of these speakers just sitting there going to waste. My question to you is, have you been using your height speakers on your BP8090 speakers? If so, what is your opinion about them with your configuration?
@kingdomtek8551
@kingdomtek8551 3 жыл бұрын
@@darynm That sure is a heck of a system u have put together, I bet it sounds amazing, as far the height channels go I have them hooked up and where I notice a great deal of difference is when u virtualize non atmos content it does bring some life to the tracks, I have a pair of DT in ceiling UIW RSS speakers they are huge when I put those in I will probably disconnect the BP height channels.

@@darynm I will start with 2 because right now I only have a 9ch yamaha, im waiting for the new aventage 11 ch later this year, u mentioned svs, definitely check out rel predator 1508, I like them better than svs, and every 3 months or so adorama puts them on sale for almost half off I have 2 and I love them very responsive and tactile definitely check them out at your local best buy. I like svs but when I heard the rel I was blown away just my opinion.
