Have to say, I haven't seen any of these but the dishes from GoS. But that could be because I'm a theme player that does medievil/ apocalypse games so my default replacements are ether wood or rusted metal lol. My download folder has gotten to the point now where I have to remove stuff, to get my game to even run if I find new stuff. I especially like the default replacements stuff 'almighty hat' has done, most work just fine in my zombie apocalypse hood, even the medievil replacement neighbourhood roads make sence (sort of lol) When I get my old PC fixed, I might grab some of these so I can have a non-theme version to parallel with my theme version on my sims only flat-top lol. That one can't run sims3 anymore so if I can cobble together a fix for the old PC, I can move sims3 to there and keep all the stuff on my flat-top along side.

Oh, I know the feeling of having to remove cc, only to fill it back up with new cc lol. It’s a continuous cycle! I always thought medieval gameplay was really interesting, but I have yet to try it for myself. I do love the mods on Sun&Moon Factory, though, and they definitely make me want to give it a go! Hat has some great stuff, and they’re really wonderful at explaining how to edit mods, such as ACR. I’d probably still be in SimPE fiddling around with it if it wasn’t for Hat! I’m also glad you found some mods you’re interested in! Hope you enjoy them when you get you’re PC fixed up. Good luck! :)

@@kaffei7001 yeah, lol. I thought I was done with start up issues after I neutered the groups.cache file, but nooooooo. Lmao. I love the Sun&Moon stations after I stumbled onto them at the Keep. I also theme sims1, but I can have more themes. With 7 or 8 versions of the same neighbourhood I have a medievil, magical (with potter bits), gothy, Roman/Greek/Viking normal and Japanese theme hoods to mess around in 😍 something for every day. Its harder with sims3 to get theme stuff, at least for me. I don't use the social media pages much lol, so I miss out on stuff.

Thanks for the video. I will definitely check out the defaults suggested. My downloads folder has more mods and hacks than anything else, as I hardly use any custom content. Most of the stuff are mods and scripting tweaks. Pescado is my favorite modder, though, because he has a good variety of anti-corruption hacks.

Wow amazing list of defaults, I never knew there were that many! I just have a problem getting Slig glass replacements to work since I am not really sure which files I should download and where to put them, glass on doors and windows stay the same for me

Hello, and thank you so much for watching and commenting! For the Slig glass replacement, the download that I used is right below the picture on the website entitled "download default glass updated". Once you unzip the file, there is a package file, and a folder. The package file Slig_WindowsGlassALLv2shastakiss needs to go into your downloads folder. But inside the OFBGlassNeedsCEP folder, there is another package file. This file, you'll need to put into Documents/ The Sims 2/ zCEP-EXTRA. If you don't have this folder, you'll need to pop over to ModtheSims to download it, right here: modthesims.info/d/92541 Slig has stated that this most probably requires Apartment Life. Once you have the zCEP-EXTRA folder and have put it in the proper directory ( which, if you have Ultimate Collection and have installed it typically, will be C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base\TSData\Res\Sims3D\ ), you'll need to replace the package file CEP-EXTRA_OFBWindows-Fix-for-AL with the one that Slig has provided. This is only required if you own OFB. I hope this helps! :)

Hello! Hmm, I’m not quite sure why the trashcan would be invisible, although it may be the outdated version. I hope I didn’t post the old link on the video, but if I did, here’s the link to Alienpod’s updated trashcan: alienpod.tumblr.com/post/651292919400103936/i-updated-my-mailbox-default-made-from-scratch If you already have the updated version, Alienpod also did edit their updated post, saying that for a lot of people, the trashcan wasn’t working properly. :/ They suggested a reset if you can’t see the can’s mesh, but you can see the recolors making the original mesh look odd. They said they’d be working on a fix, so hopefully that’ll come out okay! The only other things that I can think of is either a conflict, or a missing pack ( I believe these work off of M&G ). Sorry it’s giving you issues! I hope it gets resolved soon! Good luck, and happy simming! :)

Do the blurry skies default replacements change colour during sunrise and sunset like the skydomes that can be placed or does it only have colours for day and night like the default sky texture? Cuz that's the only reason I use skydomes in the first place.

@@RadioactiveChannel06 Unfortunately, it only replaces the morning and night sky texture of the base game. I’m currently trying to see if there is any way that it can be edited, as I use Maxis Match default lighting, but I am unsure if it can be. So you definitely might want to keep your skyboxes! Also, for the birch trees, do you have any other type of tree replacements in your game besides Criquette’s linden trees? I know Honeywell and Silent Dragon also have replacements for the birches.

I know there are two package files for it but there’s nothing saying I need to only use one of them so I doubt it’s that.

@@RadioactiveChannel06 Do you have the Seasons and Apartment Life expansion packs? I’ve checked the website and they do mention needing Seasons, and possibly AL dependent upon the computer, but that’s all I could find on their website about them possibly not showing. The two package files in the SixFootSims download should have no issue being used together - I have both files in my game currently. Hmm. The only other thing I could suggest is to try it without the single standalone tree, or to run the conflict detector to see if there are any other files using the same guid files as those trees.

I can try my best to help you with that! For the mailbox, I know that Alienpod has two different posts for it. The first gave many players issues, and then it was updated using the latest M&G object. Now, I can't say for certain, but because of this, you may need M&G, although the post does not state that you do. This is the link to the original, which also hosts the trash can: alienpod.tumblr.com/post/648733944554110976/default-replacement-for-the-residential-mailbox And this is the link to the updated mailbox: alienpod.tumblr.com/post/651292919400103936/i-updated-my-mailbox-default-made-from-scratch It also does need to be reset or it often won't show for me properly. I have the updated version, but I do have to warn anyone that the mailbox is not animated. As for the newspaper and the trash can, I would make sure there is nothing that could possibly conflict with the files - I know of a few downloadable neighborhoods that require default cc - make sure they are unzipped, try placing the package files directly into the downloads folder itself instead of a sub folder, and if all else fails, test these specific files on their own with no other mods, but be sure to back everything up before you do. Other than that, the only other thing that I can think of that could stop them from showing would be if they require a pack you may not own, but I can't find anything on the pages that state this. I hope this helps, and that you can get these files to work for you!
