simler90 is also the creator of Romantic Standards, a mod that completely changed the way I handled romance in the game. I love it, the only negative I can say is that simler90 has the habit of joining several different fixes and gameplay changes within the same mod when they should be different mods so you could pick and choose what you like.

The exercise bike is the pool ladder of Sims 2. I never noticed a problem with it until I played an asylum challenge and everyone dropped dead within a couple of days ☠️

There's a glitch in Open for Business where you can earn infinite money with the wholesale rewards; Enable wholesale mode, buy an item, then immediately sell it again. You buy it at a discount, sell it full price and pocket the difference. Rinse and repeat. You don't even have to leave buy mode. Easy to avoid, but don't know if anyone else ever noticed.

I'll just leave a note that bed ownership mods (like smart beds, or other mods like this) conflict with cc bunk beds, which will make sims randomly reset if any bunk bed is placed on the lot.

Argh, they also broke so many features with the last few patches around Into the Future with Sims 3! For instance when you install ItF the rate of receiving opportunities severly drops. Toddlers no longer can talk to people after a certain patch regardless of the skill. Bonehilda used to be able to take care of babies, but that also got broken at some point. Some of the gigs in Ambitions really got buggy after around 2012. And there's a bunch more I could think of. It's a shame, really.

@@ranitafeliz2987 Overwatch really is The lifesaver. It honestly felt like ITF was The first red flag to what Sims 4 will be, when I look back. The gameplay is fun, but doesn't really fit into casual gameplay well, it is very goal-oriented, sometimes feels like a checklist (not As much As sims 4) and the cas is very niche (what will happen with Sims 4, I feel like mainly st the start, all sims were fashion icons, it was giving Disney movie fashion or ,,I have a stylist"). Fortunately, in the context of the pack, it worked decently. Unfortunately, in the context of Sims 4, it was underwhelming. I am still praying for Sims 5 to be a Sims 2, 3 combined with Sims 4 graphics, but add colorwheel.

I know of two events that are broken and they are very good, I hope that a mod will solve them, the first one when a teenager sneak out and the police catch him, in the base game the police give a reprimand to parents but at UC it does not happen the policeman just leaves. The second is also the same event when a teenager is discovered sneak out by his parents, they will give him a reprimand and tell him to go to bed, the only thing to do is enter the house, otherwise the father will slap the teenager, well even though the slap appears in the action queue, the parent does nothing

I remember something similar happened to me but with parties. My sim had a party that was still going after 11 pm, police arrived and then just left. I never had police stop the party before but I'm sure this isn't how it's supposed to go.

I actually like the smart milk error because it can fix itself anytime before a toddler grows into a child, at least with the setup that I have right now (idk if anything else interferes), so some of my child sims end up smarter than others, which I like.

Not sure if this counts, but the in game CAS is missing a bunch of sliders which are in the bodyshop CAS. Again can't tell if this is an intended feature or a bug or what but there is a mod which ports the bodyshop sliders to the actual game. For me its very useful with fixing large cheekbones when you mix/match certain eyes, noses and mouths.

body shop has always been more 'detailed' in terms of sliders than normal cas, pretty sure it was intended that way. if you want to make more detailed sims then you can make them in bodyshop, export their appearance to the sim bin (or something like that) then load up sims, go into case and select them from the bin. they might not look perfect like they did in the body shop, but they'll look relatively the same

the most annoying part for me was trying to put that shadow link on the wiki of sims 2, cause some idiot person was saying we could fix the issue changing the shadow to medium, i never hated someone so much on my life that don't know the difference of a workaround and a true fix........... disabling the shadows was never a fix.. never..... glad i could put that info on the wiki today but if i knew the person that was editing it out and saying to disable the shadows to medium i would swear alot... this was years ago.

Well this explains a lot. I saw the switching to medium advice, did that and nothing really changed. I was confused, thinking I did something wrong (not sure what, because changing shadows is easy), because it must have worked for others... Now I know. You were right to be upset, it prevents people from being able to fix the issue quickly, without searching all over the place for solution.

I usually use 1 or 2 bottles of smart milk and teach them walking and talking in a row, then I have them spend their entire awake time with their toys, usually prioritizing either the creativity skill or the logic skill.

Is there a mod to fix when children/teens receive good grades but there's an error because they don't have their parent living on the lot to cheer with? I used to get this a lot because I had the grandparents move out with the kids. It resolved when I invited the dad over for when the kids arrived home from school. But a fix would be nice...

I was playing and after a while I realized that this kid NEVER brought any homework with him, but the other child did (who had a mother living on the lot). I put in testingcheats and start receiving an error message when he walked off the bus. From my lackluster programming skills I could tell a a sim was missing for the target of the interaction. After some trial and error I invited the Dad over, the action played out as it should, and voilà homework appeared.

It's on my top 10 mods that doesn't exists yet for sims 3, I'm so happy that in the late months a good part of my all time wish mods for this game were made, and there is one that charges the diaper change and the bottles and there is another that makes you to buy from grocery store to be able to change it or feed the babies, but unfortunately no mod to make all the trash. It's strange that I want my sims to produce trash??

Update: I kept the disease mod in. However, a new problem has come to my attention. My game has been glitching and crashing more for the past few days. Previously, it rarely crashed, but now, it crashes pretty much every time I play. It may be due to the disease mod since that's the only mod I installed recently that isn't just a simple fix. What do you think? Should I remove it? Is there a definitive way to find out what's causing the increases glitching and crashing?

The community lot espresso machine that spawns an NPC has never worked for me in ultimate collection. If I tell a sim to buy themselves or someone else a coffee they just walk up and stand there and nothing happens and they walk away. Someone on reddit told me it was known to be bugged. I spent an ungodly amount of time teaching my characters how to act reasonably on the FreeTime gameversion, and now I am stuck with it because none of my mods work in Mansion because of fundamental changes like expansion flags, greet status, and special handling of apartment zone. There are a lot of sports, fitness and music objects in FreeTime that people will exit too quickly as a Fun Object, and can't practically use them to skill up if one of their other motives is half-full. Or how about eating in Downtown. People are attracted to the restaurant podium by the Shopping motive and will keep eating repeatedly until the whole neighborhood is fat. Or keep drinking espresso over and over again, which only serves to make the working person money. Or walk very far upstairs to put down an espresso cup or plate. Or how the Iconic Hobbyist calls in the middle of the night, or goes through locked doors to deliver the membership card. The authors seem to enjoy creating mayhem, and to make newly added features obnoxiously obvious. The smart milk works well, and saves time going to the fridge and cleaning up the bottle. Yeah, I had my teens learning skill super fast. I had to justify it in the story.

Haven't heard of that unfortunately, but a fantastic way for kids to meet other kids is to go on computer chat! They can only chat with their peers there, no teens or adults :D

this is a common issue in the sims 2, due to the RNG always being the same, its the same reason the neighrborhoods in apartments tend to always be the same ones no mattter how much time you retry the lot even tho theres lot of sims for the game to choose from.

I have the UC and it does work, there must be a mod conflict. But 50 more lifetime wants from Lamare also includes the university wants.

Do you have the fix for mannequin skin? I remember a mod that links the baby texture for it so the game doesn't crash when you have a baby with a sim using that skintone.

Mods go into the Downloads folder. Codes are typed in game via Shift+Ctrl+C.

I'm looking for a mod that generates more diversity regarding wants... Sometimes they roll the same wants that just have been fulfilled (entertain, talk to...) and that's kind of annoying... Do you know if that exists ?

Yes, social workers have incomplete data. Bus and carpool drivers too, and there are plenty in one neighborhood as well.

Sometimes beds or toilets will be "stuck" : you can't make the bed, or use one or both sides, same for the toilet. You also can't delete them, because the game thinks someone is using them. Does anyone know how to fix that?

I think since they are usually not able to be added to the household, the devs maybe just didn't bother completing their data.
