This is an old video, see the parameters in the new video as some has changed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqLLp2iEqLeHaac

You can change it to 200mm if you need to. The stroke can be set up 640mm for 1605 leadscrew.

Do you have the default parameters for a sfx150 build? I ordered the 4 port Thanos4u fort build.

The Thanos4U comes precofigured for SFX-100. If you need to change the stroke to 150mm, you can do it through the SRS app.

Hello Thanos. Not sure this is the right place to ask, but what is control scheme on the servo amp? Is it pure position control with pulse direction signals comming from AMC? What I understand that you emit specific number of pulses to reach desired position - does it mean that rate of those pulses control speed? I'm curious because before you've said that this was a nogo since srevo amps buffer commands - did you found a way around it?

Its controlled with pure Pulse/Dir signals from the AMC. The AMC keeps a virtual index of the position of the actuator, to be able to calculate how many steps has available to each direction and what is the current position. The Pulses are generated by hardware timers (low level register manipulation) and it runs up to 200khz frequency to allow accelerations up to 3000rpm of the servo drive. This servo I'm using (AASD-15A) actually has a buffer for the pulses and can process pulses up to 250khz. But I use other indicators from the servo drive to sync and make sure the servo is ready to accept pulses in order not to lose track of the index position.

@@tronicgr That's very interesting. I assume you make pulse-ack on each pulse - since you are not able to discard buffered commands.
