Thanks. It really worked!!! I thought I'd be stuck there for ages beside the main door.

Great, but why can't I get the zWave feature to work? After my panel was replaced, none of my locks will learn the new network.

You must first Exclude the locks, then include them. If you replaced the old panel/controller without excluding the locks from it first, they still have old network information learned into them. If you go through the process to Exclude (using the new panel/controller) this will clear the old information out, then you'll be able to Include them to the new panel/controller. Now, having said that, if you successfully default the lock, that should also remove it, but if you've tried that and it's not working, I'd try a simple exclusion first, then attempt to include.

In case someone doesn't know how to do exclusion, here is how to with Samsung Smarthings. There are to process required to be complete on the software end and hardware end. **IMPORTANT: Software side must be running while hardware side proceed. Software End: 1. Enter into Hub software 2. Enter into Z-Wave Utilities 3. Select Z-Wave Exclusion. Hardware side: 1. Lock keypad 2. Press master code then # 3. Select 7 then # 4. Select 3 then # Phone will detect and stated exclusion successful and keypad will as well.

@@michaeltrieu8725 Thank you Michael! I used Smartthings app to exclude the Yale lock that was previously paired to another unknown hub. The Smartthings app showed that it was able to exclude, and then I was able to add/include the lock into the Smartthings hub and app. Your detailed instructions helped me so much!

Doesn’t seem to reset the network module though.
@joshuagriffin28073 жыл бұрын
If it's not resetting the zwave module you can do an exclusion even though if it's not learned into the z wave controller. If you do the exclusion process it will tell the lock to reset the zwave module in the lock.

@@joshuagriffin2807 yeah unfortunately I’ve got the older generation SmartThings hub. I don’t think I have access to exclusion mode through the SmartThings software.

What is the master pin after reset?

My dude .. the instructions say to hold the reset button for 3 seconds .. you held the button for exactly 14 seconds .. I'm guessing it should be a minimum of "3 seconds" .. ?
@joshuagriffin28076 ай бұрын
The minimum is 3 seconds, We do longer to make sure, I hold it for 6 seconds

You'll need to remove the battery cover and you'll be able to access the reset button, which is located in the upper left hand corner of the device.
