It makes me really sad we need comments like this for people who attend defcon / watch the videos. This is the internet guys, really important you learn how to use it before getting this deep.

Agree, if you want the slides, do a search for this; DEF CON 32 - Jon DiMaggio - Behind Enemy Lines - Going undercover to breach the LockBit Ransomware Operation.pdf Its sadly a pdf, but I'm sure you know how to handle that, since you're watching a def con video

stocking is common game for a hacker to do, everyone gets hacked somehow. hacking their phone, being friends with their friends and meeting them up f2f. but the real deal is normally more addictive specially when is the opposite sex but behind your motivation is motives more than emotion of a real fake since it has nothing to do with the potential power of technology, it is a wonderful story.

Needless to say, LockBit is definitely not the father of ransom ware, e.g. no such agency is the father of ransom ware, regardless of transportation methodology.

I hate how defcon on the new videos the past 5 years or so they no longer show the decks. I like the older videos where they show all the slides as part of the talk. But for some reason they only post a couple of their items and no decks now. I wonder if attending defcon, if they make the decks and videos of every one of them available to attendees. That's how most cybersecurity conferences usually work. Such as RSA, Gartner, even beyond trust when identity VMware/VM world, all of those conferences do that. Except for the ones that are confidential or basically internal use only type of thing that they don't want all the place. That's the more secure conferences, but yeah if they do that then that gives me another incentive to attend. The only reason why I haven't attended defcon is because I like to have my work pay for conferences but this one is cheap, but I don't like that it's over a weekend so going is taking my personal time and not my work time that I could be paid to go. But yeah I might just end up going anyways but yeah just wondering if they provide the decks afterwards cuz I love to download the decks and use them for references for items with my management and presentations and stuff that I have to work on for work

they always seem to f'up one or another part of it; if they DO show the slides they're in this absurdly small window (e.g. 40% of the video area) often illegibly small b/c of a lot of crap graphical BS frame around the edge and a whole chunk of 'nerd in front of microphone' on the right. I mean I love Defcon vids but they frequently and consistently do a poor job of the video capture/composition (and sometimes - worst of all- even the audio sucks)
