Defeating Darth Nihilus (light side)

Mandalore accompanies both the Exile and Visas Marr into a confrontation with Nihilus on board the bridge of the Ravager.
During the confrontation, the Exile, whose tie to the Force had previously been severed and whose leech-like nature is basically of the same nature herself, can not be consumed by Nihilus, so when he tries, he exhausts himself and is made vulnerable. The three of them manage to defeat Darth Nihilus and escape the vessel's destruction.
I had a request to make something with Nihilus in it, and this is what I came up with. Hope it's not too boring. :p
I haven't modded him at all, because I think he looks pretty badass the way Obsidian made him. And I've gotten tired of oldflash's Mandalore reskin, so he's back to normal.
KotOR 2 belongs to Obsidian Ent. and LucasArts.

I just noticed someone very subtle but very clear that is said through the dialogues... Visas asks Brianna about the Exile on the ship, someone who sees through the Force asking someone who has sight but has yet to feel the Force entirely: "The Exile... what does he look like?" Brianna responds: "Like a man... but it is more than that." When Darth Nihilus is defeated the Exile asks Visas what she saw when she looked at him. Visas, who only who can only see through the Force, responds: "A man... nothing more." Damn good writing.

Both Darth Nihilus and The Exile were wounds in the Force, but with opposing characteristics. The Exile is the one who activated the Mass Shadow Generator (which is essentially what created Nihilus in the first place), and Nihilus was the survivor of the weapon. Nihilus was forced into being a Force wound due to the weapon, but The Exile became one by her own will by disconnecting herself from the Force (due to guilt of using the weapon). Nihilus was a Dark Side user, The Exile was a Light Side user.

full on Witcher 3 with starwars skin (not just skin but you know what i mean) 3 settlements per planet 12 planets sounds about right. id like an option to have the turn based kind of combat or switch to real time (witcher style) grenades and blasters would work cause there the bombs and crossbow in witcher already so same mechanics style kind of. you could even have the full bestiary of the witcher with all the differant species in starwars....i love Obsidian i really do. but after seeing what CD Projekt red did with The Witcher 3 , and remembering obsidian has not touched a starwars game in how long? id like to see what they would make, i know cyber punk is on its way, but its nice to fantasize about what could be :)

All this hate on KotORII comes from misunderstanding in my opinion. KotORII was much more story driven, but in a much more intelligent way. KotORI is still amazing and the characters were equally such, but KotORII still deserves such praise as well, but you need to understand the deeper story line to love it as I do.

I recently beat KOTOR 2 with all the required mods and I loved it better than the first game. And I beat the first KOTOR like 5 times. The first time I finished the second game I wasn't as impressed as I am now. In its current "finished" state it's a much deeper game.

This fight should have been much harder. It should have been one of those boss fight's that's just plain exhausting and tedious. Nihilus was mega powerful, he should have fought as such.

It would've been if Meetra Surik (aka The Exile) didn't have the same wound surrounding her that Darth Nihilus did. Both Meetra and Nihilus had been "touched" by the Mass Shadows created when the Mass Shadow Generator was fired. Nihilus used the newfound power to rejuvenate his strength. Darth Traya found him and taught him about it and how to relish in death. He became addicted to feeding on death and received the title "The Lord of Hunger". Meetra was the only one that Nihilus couldn't consume because she had the same potential he did but wasn't immediately aware and didn't consciously seek out others to kill to feed on the death she caused. Nihilus did it so much that he was already dead. The only way he was staying alive was that his spirit was in his armor and mask. Meetra unknowingly relished in the hundreds of deaths she caused in her quest to find the Jedi Masters. That was what made her connection to the Force return. What made it start to return was when that HK-50 droid killed everyone in the Peragus II facility.

+sarcastian That's actually the whole point. Nihilus was so powerful that ONLY The Exile could actually face it, and Nihilus was just too much powerful even for the Exile, that's why they trick him into exhausting himselft on the Exile... It's the only way to beat him.

Old comment but yeah they pretty much spiced the whole game up to fight this guy. I think even Sion and Kreia wouldn't stand a chance against this guy. The exile was the only one who could fight him because she was the only one he could not use his power on. They have a similar ability but he is evil and the exile is good, she more or less leeches off of death and the people that follow her but she doesn't revel in it like Nihilus does. So the fight was forced into conventional means and I guess Nihilus was tired out from trying to feed on her so he was done.

Nihilus is one of my favorite sith lords, but at the same time he is one of the easiest ones to kill. It's the fact that he doesn't say ANYTHING lol he mutters some echos and then tries to kill you. Other than that, Jadus, Marka Ragnos and Tulak Hord.. I will give Vader and Honorary mention but only cause when you play him in force unleashed, soul caliber 4, and other games where you can just DOMINATE he is fucking awesome. He was just a random normal guy, then someone used a Mass Shadow Generator on Malachor 5 and he was the only survivor. The MSG caused a wound in the force, and that’s what turned Nihilus into what was essentially a world devouring Sith.

But when you fight him, he isn't even that difficult to beat. I know you supposedly weakened him, but still. Would have been better as a one on one duel.

I really wish that Bioware would do 1 off to things. Nr 1 Make a Remasterd Edition of Kotor 1 and Kotor 2. Or Atleast Make a Kotor 3. Since the Kotor Series was so awsome => ever better then mass effect. And miles ahead of dragon age. U just had much more Connection with the Characters in Kotor u actually cared about them. Apparently this is an unsolvable problem, unless you are able to use Nvidia drivers that are a couple of years old. But, newer cards will not support those drivers, so I'm shit out of luck.

Do NOT wait for TSLRP to play K2. There is no deadline for those guys, it could take years (and it already has). The only thing K2 suffers from, is a few plot holes and a disappointing ending (and lots of good games have those. Assassin's Creed, I'm looking at you). TRY IT. You decide for yourself whether or not it even needs a restoration project. You'll either like it, or you won't. It's a more grown up version of KOTOR than K1 was, and I, personally, prefer this game to its predecessor.

You can get mods for that, one guy made a mod which allows the character to look like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider Legend. Same model, but he wouldn't release it to the public.
