Hey some advice from someone who has battled lust since the age of basically birth don't think of it as something that you've become quit it and when the depression hits pray and cry and don't be ashamed and don't listen to the deceit the devil throws into your eyes ears and mind he'll brain fog you into thinking all kinds of lies to make you fall into the cycle of hurt again don't be ashamed of who you are despise evil and do not listen to your urges it'll he so worth it in the end I promise it gets better everyday if you restore your phone or even get a flip phone people will make fun of you but you will be so brave for giving it up God will show you the true colors of life you'll be so happy I promise you this if you struggle reading the Bible pray for that as well you can pray for anything that you know is not evil and will bring you a non evil positive effect spiritually

I'm 28 and have been struggling with lust essentially all my life. But it ends today. It ends once and for all today, on my little sister's birthday. The timing is so incredibly important here; this video in front of my eyes a year ago would have given me NOTHING. But with some deeply personal experiences and feeling The Heavenly Father's presence these past three weeks (I started praying about a week ago! I've been heavily addicted to porn since 10 years old. it has changed over the past decade and a half. Not just any porn, animated snuff and rape. Taking the idea of a woman and reducing her to a tool for my pleasure. I have a girlfriend who I've never once wanted to come to harm and I couldn't imagine treating her with anything except love. Preach! I just recently watched a video (I’m Muslim) about how Allah s.w.t. puts a desire in each one of us to do something better for ourselves, yet if we choose not to pursue that desire because we are lazy or have fallen astray from the right path, then he removes that desire and we remain stuck with a mediocre life. I don’t know how this video ended up on my page, but I truly needed this. This past week I have fallen prey to lust and have strayed away from my god-given purpose. I became content with where I am now, when I know my desire has always been to become even better. InshaAllah, I’m going back to pursuing the destiny god has planned for me. Ameen.

2:05 “you can get back to your purpose after..” *But isn’t that TRUE??* This is the WHY in why it’s so hard. Because you really can give into these things, feel *GENUINELY* sorry (repent) and get swept right back up into the cycle. I’m not talking about “cheap grace” (no remorse). I’m talking about the actual way that things are with Christ: He has made it so that when we sin, we can repent (again, genuinely) but while there are sometimes consequences for our sinful choices in life, very often there aren’t.. at least not on this side of heaven and/or not in a tangible way. Not in the same way there are if you ate poison and perished within minutes. So, the threat of “better not do (fill in blank)!” seems more like the parent who counts to 2.. 2 1/2.... 2 3/4... and never gets to 3. So we carry on. Feeling guilty but ultimately, eventually giving in to the chase of that moment of satisfaction and contentedness. It satisfies where Christ does not (which could be a video in and of itself). And so, just hoping we don’t die in our sin and hoping we have enough time to apologize for what we’ve done afterwards spurs us on in the ways we always have. TLDR: no consequence means no real reason to stop or change. Would love to hear thoughts..

You don't need to fight! It's a lost game. You must immerse yourself and receive the full love of the Father. WHAT YOU NEED IS LOVE. When you are in His love, you don't want to sin! Ask for wisdom and immerse yourself in the Scriptures! Do not fight, Jesus did it on the cross! God bless you and you can always write to me for support. ❤

I used to do this, but by the grace of God I overcame it and in fact I don't even think about it at all. Do not let it take your thoughts. You cannot stop a bird from flying over your head but can stop it from building its nest in your hair. So you cannot stop a lustful thought from popping into your head but can stop it from staying there.

If you're gonna do something without god it ain't gonna work. So thats why when you are trying to defeat lust then you need to stay in the word and pray and fast
