Good luck to the recruits. I'm so proud to be an Aussie every time I see the ADF in action and whenever I see the arduous training required to serve.

The name "Shaggy Ridge" caught my attention. The Battle of Shaggy Ridge was part of the Finisterre Range Campaign which consisted of a number of actions fought by the Australian and Japanese troops (with the natives 🇵🇬 sandwiched between the conflict) in Papua New Guinea in World War II. To this day, Shaggy Ridge remains an historically significant place for conducting military exercises.

Thank you guys, I'm so impressed. I'd never be able to do this. Love how pragmatic the soldiers are about the whole thing. Massive respect!

This training would really test their headspace and ability to stay focused to keep concentration and control of thoughts running amok in their head that fatigue caused to happen

Good work to those PTI's. The head dodging the yellow rope exercise looked handy for self defence.
