This was truly the turning point of the war. Megatron Trashed the Autobots in War For Cybertron in a brutal way. Not only by invading the city of Iacon but for how many Autobots Trypticon killed on the Orbit of Cybertron. (I mean that's sadistic, Megatron Annihilated Autobots who were attempting to Escape from a doomed planet).

The Autobots had already lost Cybertron by this point. After Zeta Prime's mismanagement of the war effort, Iacon and Kalis were the last real Autobot strongholds left. Dark Energon only served to hasten the Autobots' decline, giving their opponents an even greater edge. By the time of the Exodus, Iacon was barely holding on after repelling Megatron's initial invasion. Once Prime left aboard the Ark, the city was sacked entirely.

@@samuelwithers2221 Nice. But i can't understand how the Autobots were losing the war as you mentioned (You stated there were only 2 cities left for the Autobots, Iacon & Kalis). I mean with leaders like Optimus and Grimlock... How did they lose so much? (Not to mention Megatron stated on the first mission he needed the Dark Energon to give him an advantage, i mean if you are forced to seek an alternative source of energy, how good are you doing?).

@@aquariusm.910 The Decepticons had the numbers advantage from the get go, with the vast majority of the revolutionaries siding with Megatron after he and Optimus split the movement in two. Adding on to this, the Decepticons, being mostly made up of disgruntled industrial workers and miners, ended up claiming many of Cybertron's industrial centers, such as Kaon, Vos, Tarn, and more. The Autobots, in turn, had greater popularity in cities based around science, art, culture, etcetera, such as Crystal City and Iacon. The Decepticons had the numbers, industry, and just generally more powerful soldiers due to the nature of their jobs, while the Autobots had less manpower, industry, and combat oriented soldiers. As for Grimlock, he was only in charge of a single special ops unit due to his trouble following authority. Prime on the other hand was basically just a replacement for Zeta Prime until Zeta's death, limiting his power somewhat. Even still, the war was at a stalemate until the Decepticons gained dark energon. That gave the Decepticons the buff they needed to storm Iacon, capture Zeta Prime, and poison Cybertron's core so that no new Transformers could be born from the Well of Allsparks (a lot of the newborns sided with the Autobots). This crippled either factions ability to replenish soldiers and fuel, turning the war into a waiting game as both sides slowly but surely became drained. The Decepticons by that point had more manpower and supplies, so they outlasted the Autobots.
