Brilliant sleeping solution, we like you're roof top tent we have a AutoHouse and have used it for the passed 5 yrs, thanks for sharing.

Thank you😊 yes this James Baroud hard shell roof top tent is great. If we had to change ours for any reason we would definitely go for another James Baroud one, a newer version 😉. Don't know about AutoHouse, are you willing to change it after 5 years?

Hi Emeline, I was looking for your video on the sleeping arrangements and the set up in the rear of the car, loved this video, you were clearly not so familiar talking to a camera as you are now......loved the bloopers, I would recommend you do some every now and then, they are funny. Première vidéo de la chaine que je regarde. J'aime bien tes hésitations lorsque tu t'exprimes. On a un HDJ 100 sans enfants mais avec 2 gros chiens. Pour le couchage c'est la même chose: nous dans la tente de toit et les chiens à l'intérieur. :)

😅 sure it's not the same in a double cab! Thanks for your review. Now the kids sleep on this interior layout but it does also suit perfectly for 2 adults. We slept in there many times 👍. So where do you sleep if not at the back of your double cab 😄? Do you have a tent?

@@offtrackfamily I've had so many different options since getting the truck in 2006. Oztent RV-1 when just me and my son went away, now there's 5 of us so that went ! Roof tent for a while but currently using a military 9x9 and a 9x7 for the 5 of us. I've got a Sankey that I'd like to put a good size roof tent on but funds don't permit that currently!!

Hi Emilie, only just discovered your channel and wow! what an array of valuable experiences you have accumulated and made accessible for everyone. Great stuff and obviously i subscribed straight away. As I am looking to convert a similar layout Defender into a part-time camper, i find a lot of inspiration in your videos. Love seeing the sleeping layout as i have a similar idea for this. Not sure if this is the right point to ask the question but i guess so. One your travels, how do you solve the toilet problem and what sort of toilet do you use? Do you store it inside the vehicle? Despite all the videos on your channel, I could not find one on that topic. Thanks and keep on posting the good stuff, but more so, enjoy doing all the good stuff. Big thumbs up! :)

Hi and happy you found useful info throughout all our videos :) easy to answer your question, no on-board toilet or toilet system watsoever so depending where we are it's in nature or public toilet or café. If this was a necessity, I'd go for something like bivvy loo or cleanwaste

As an idea why not roll out the self inflating mats and internal sleeping bags and put them in the James Baroud giving yourselves more storage room internally

Thanks for your message! When we travel we now put the 4 sleeping bags & cushions in the rtt. But not too sure about also adding the inflatable mats, might add too much pressure on those old clips.

@@offtrackfamily I have James Broud and put three self inflatable mats underneath the mattress, I then have a quilt, pillows and sleeping bags and yes it is tight but not a problem

Thanks for your message. It's a great layout for a family, especially not needing to plant a tent. We have a video on our DIY water system, the water tank is in the wooden layout & the tap is behind one of the wheels. Merci pour votre message! Cela dépend de plusieurs facteurs et quelles tentes de toit vous intéressent. Je ne recommanderais pas 2 tentes de toit rigides en raison de leur taille. Le fait d'avoir une tente de toit et un couchage intérieur permet d'avoir "2 chambres" dont une fermables à clé, ce qui est plus rassurant en tant que maman :). Avec l'aménagement que nous avons actuellement, lors de voyages sans les enfants nous n'avons pas une tente inutile. En contrepartie, l'aménagement intérieur convertible prend de l'espace. Il faut donc trouver le bon équilibre et ce qui vous convient le mieux.
