Hey Xavii, 20k hour ark player here. Heres a quick list on what to do against a racer: 1. You need to immobilize it first. If its inside your foundy control, gate it with metal dino gates. If not, use grav nades to pull it in, weight grapple if possible. 2. If you can't get it stuck in place, next best option is try to kill the rider. Jar of pitch is a guaranteed kill unless theyre in full hazmat, poison grenades, basilisk, poison wyvern and rocketing the box are all great options. If you can grapple/suit into the box (like in a tube racer for blowing foundations) to kill the rider, this is another great option. 3. If you kill the rider, thyla it and it'll die quickly. If you can't do anything else, thyla is always a great option. Basilisk is your next best dps at range, as they ignore armor and shred soakers + can kill the rider. hey man. A hugeeee tip on countering those racers is make a row if rocket launchers to spam down the gate really quick and its even better if you do it with 2 people. It doesn't have to be in your hot bar either, you can shoot one and then open your inventory and press e on the next one. It was an amazing wipe to watch. Goodluck on the next one

PvP timer just makes everything more difficult and wierd. Not being able to copy settings on turrets and such. I´d say you did a good job, defending. One of the most annoying things, when on a Racer is to get weight-grappled, in a spot where you can´t so anything but soak and wait to die essentially. It´s hard to blow their box, if they got turret cover. At least you put up a proper fight and made em work for it.

It's sad to see that people don't know how to counter a racer in 2025, 2v4 as defender shouldn't be hard, if u didn't want to go fortnight v fortnight just let them push to ur cave lol. Have some allies counter fob, maybe use a bleeder, brake their structures on the racer after u bola them.

That was a terrible defense can’t even lie. 1. The enemy tribe is limited to what they have so killing most of there stegos and racer would run them thin 2. Instead of having turrets kill the stego use a thyla to prevent using Ammon from the turrets 3. You could’ve been placing a lot of cliff plats or making the Fortnite going up more so you don’t get picked by the desmo you guys literally let them take foundation control especially since you could’ve pushed up with turrets 4. You could’ve also spawned plant y around the front making it harder for the guy to even push with a racer the min he gets off and goes to the ground to place c4 he’ll get trapped also you could’ve been using bear traps to make it even harder for them they’d have to tek Rex or tek tape it 5. Could’ve sat on desmo and karki one nets grabs the guy the other grabs the stego less tames and wasting a few hours at the first part will make any raiders leave
