When DVDs came out I bought a PC with a DVD reader/writer and thought it was the best thing ever. I bought a stack of like 500 virgin DVDs because I was sure I was gonna use them all. I still have about 450.

Those things are quite rare to find these days. Tho I think they have a pretty short shelf life (5-7 years) you should check if they're still usable lol. Then use them to distribute 450 copies of pirated Shrek movies around the neighborhood or sth.

At the 3 lurkers part was the final straw. I'm convinced the Protoss is a toddler who hasn't developed object permanence yet. There are so many moments where he just forgets about the opponent's units or his own attacking units. Truly a Sim City mindset.

After VCR there wasnt instantly the DVD. First it was this huge Laser Discs and then the CD-Rom with 700 MB, but it wasnt used commercial for movies, just for movie rippers. Then there was the Minidisc but it was just for music. Minidisc was quite popular in the late 90s since it basicly ended Casettes for home use. At that time people had albums and mixtapes and not just a folder with 50.000 mp3s, unless you had Napster :-). And the DVD was around from 1995 for more than a decade before the first blueray came 2006. This wasnt just 2 years. And who uses Blueray when you have flash drives. Blueray is kinda outdated too. When blueray came out it was first of all expensive and second noone had a player. People bought Playstation 3s so they had a blueray player and then there was just a handful movies that were sold on blueray. So it was more than 15 years, maybe even 20 that the DVD was the way to go. I guess you are too young so it was short for you.

Just one small click that probably would have saved him in those last fights, even with the same bad micro: upgrading Air Weapons to lvl 2. That would likely have saved him enough time when the Carriers were incorrectly focusing and killing the roaches before focusing on the hydras, which could have prevented them from losing to such small number of hydra units

As of the time of this writing there has never been a year where more Blu-Rays were sold than DVDs. At their peak DVD sales were over 18 billion dollars while Blu-Rays peaked at slightly over 2 billion dollars in sales

Most esteemed youtube comment section, captain Harstem, and Hamster designs... welcome to my meme of a comment. I am a humble subscriber of the great King SCII content maker with 0 MMR in the KR server. (And maybe 1 MMR in the NA server). On this video I had a decent idea, and perfect execution of grammar. I scouted the video only went up 2 hours ago and began typing immediately. I eliminated the competition by watching the video so early, so I had a huge advantage in the race for top comment. I had a long paragraph that very few would read, a bunch of jokes that would go over people's heads, fast hands to type with, upgraded gaming chair to help create this essay, and I had only 49 comments to compete with. But all this was destined to fail. Because Maqua Bear made a great point. That mad man, had a short comment, a very relevant topic, and bashed upon the replay that we all enjoyed watching. The Bear hit enter, and my comment got lost, just like my dumb@$$ without a map. It was then that I realized that this narrative could not challenge the authority of the Maqua Bear. And like the salty player that I am. I left the video without liking his comment. Alas! My esteemed commenting compadres , do you think, if you read this far, that this meme will reach one of the top comments? Or, at least in this video, does it suck? I think we should celebrate the "you suck" at the end more. Think about it, Captain: someone has just received free professional coaching on a game that is clearly part of their "wall". Maybe this player is losing consistently against Lurkers because they just don't know how to "read" the replays right. They are thinking "this is impossible, I just can't beat Lurkers!" They need help! So they go to the Captain, and sure it is phrased as a balance complaint but really we all suck, everyone sucks in some way. It's just sometimes we can't see it, and it feels like the world is out to get us, that everything is out of our control. Imagine watching that replay and coming out of it thinking "I did everything right, the Lurker is imba" and then the captain says, "no friend, look at this fight. It's not the Lurkers, it's your micro". Congratulations, I would say! You suck! Which means you can get better!

22:00 The dude had 10-15 sec to get his army in position. But he is busy micro the oracle to the safe. Don't use super batteries to buy times and all defensive infrastructure investment are wasted. Instead of pushing slow and steady back and forth with the more mobile force(lurkers can't move), rushing in with broken formation and trying to take out the entire lurker from get go. The only reinforcement are zealots. If the player is a bit more patient and not overly confident, Protos should force zerg into a retreat and kill all lurkers during the chase.

20:45 first time i sympathized with a player. the problem is lurkers have the same range as disruptors which means you have to fire it at exactly the point where you get hit, or you will always get killed first because they get the first shot. 4 novas and none of them landing is gg, and the zerg player wasnt even looking at the fight. i hate this part of the game, at every level. disruptors are only good pre-upgrade lurkers, otherwise they are so bad, get two shot and less range.
