Yes, it's positive that parents realise their conscription will come up and their child has a much better chance if they know what they're doing in advance. FYI: "How do I even survive my conscription" camps for kids aged 12-16 have been a thing in Russia since 1992. Except in Russian camps they learn useful Russian skills like how to appear uninteresting so you're not raped. How to absorb a beating without being injured. How to obey mindlessly so you won't stand out. It's called 'dedovschina', look it up, it's pretty brutal what Russia does to its own people.
