The only thing that has not been talked about by anyone is why this one incident got the overwhelming, immediate response it did by both the cops and the media. Let's face it, people get shot and killed every day in this country; but because this guy was rich and well-connected, the full resources of the NYPD as well as the FBI were called in. It seemed there was a near immediate cash reward of 10-grand for any information leading to an arrest. What the hell? What makes this guy any more valuable than anyone else? What makes the NYPD sit up and pay attention to this crime far faster and more diligently than they would any other? Why was the FBI brought in so early in the game? We clearly see here that "money talks". This guy was rich and the head of a large insurance company, not a blue-collar worker. It just proves that there is two-tiered justice in this country. If you're rich or well-connected, you get immediate action to find your perpetrator; but if you're one of the common people, the cops and government don't give a damn if your assailant is found.
