When UA made Russian language illegal after USAs 2014 coup, one of the things they instantly jumped at was to rename all locations with Russian names. Problem was, everywhere south and east, most locations didn't HAVE any name other than the Russian one. Which is why today, eastern and southern UA is filled with duplicate and almost duplicate place names, sometimes even just a few dozen km from each other. Even places as far west as Kiev oblast did not have ANY historical name in Ukrainian. Because historical UA's eastern border, was west of Kiev, far north from Odessa...

You can guess the truth ukranian dayly loses from the Russian count in telegram (2,250 a day) or media zona Russian daily loses (300). I think these daily loses are high... and low... but they give you an idea.
