I assume they have been captured with some incriminating identifications? dog tags perhaps? or some kind of documents they were carrying? And why is this such a remarkable thing to discover now given that we have western so-called "mercenaries" fighting for Ukraine for the past 3 years?

DPA relies on open source yet despite this being mana from heaven for such organizations as the BBC and ABC Australia they're not touching this video which raises questions as to the authenticity of the story. They seem reluctant to put their reputations on the line and report this a fact. The whole story is voiced in a third party claims without verification leading to the question as to why they're so coy about verification as though they know they're spreading propaganda.

Umm, this seems totally over dubbed at least from the questioner's side, and the ambience of all voices doesn't match the room, the echoes and reverberations of voices do not match. And over dubbing this fellow isn't that hard considering the amount of opportunity for talking there is. Anecdotal, but having seen a lot of overdubbed actors even a person can do this, and it is _actually_ even easier for existing computer models to do. (BTW, current tech 'AI' used in film industry will do a result that most humans can't tell.) Unconvinced. Too little to go on and too much audio editing present.

While indeed ethnic Korean exist in Russia doesn't mean this guy's is DPRK troops, they can keep producing this cheap propaganda all they want just to prove it but until the POW speaking northern dialect which south Korean didn't use it by their citizens it's all fake and the guys in this video could be south Korean paid actor.

"Prigozhin denied the Kremlin’s claims that Russia is fighting NATO in Ukraine and questioned whether there are actually Nazis in Ukraine as the Kremlin constantly claims. Prigozhin stated that Russia is fighting “exclusively with Ukrainians” who are equipped with NATO-provided equipment and some “russophobic” mercenaries who voluntarily support Ukraine - but not NATO itself. Prigozhin also noted that Russian officials most likely knew that NATO would offer Ukraine military aid, because “it is ridiculous to think that when [Russia] decided to conduct this special military operation it did not account for NATO’s help to Ukraine.” Prigozhin noted that he is unsure about the “denazification” objectives in Ukraine, because he does not know if there are “Nazis” in Ukraine. Prigozhin also noted that Russia will ”demilitarize” Ukraine only when all of the Ukrainian military is destroyed, claiming that this effort is ongoing, but that it is unclear if it will be successful. Prigozhin stated that Russia can avoid an exhausting protracted war by deciding now which borders it wants to capture. Prigozhin also called on the Russian military and media to stop underestimating Ukrainian forces and engaging in internal conflicts. Prigozhin effectively rejected the Kremlin’s pre-war and post-war claims that Russia needed to defend itself against a NATO threat in Ukraine and undermined the necessity and probability of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s stated maximalist objectives for this invasion." bcfausa.org/no-nazis-in-ukraine-no-nato-says-russian-mercenary-leader-prigozhin/ Of course, it didn't end well!
